I'm not drinking the Koolaid. I think Big V will average a foul every two minutes. We won't actually get to see him shoot because he'll be nailed to the bench.

Re: ***Sixerfan1976 Official Thread - Update Page 8***
Don't see what the big deal is. Didn't see a homerun potential pick out there. No one fell that wasn't expected to. Vucevic looks solid. He's got offensive skills, is a good rebounder, and has good size. He can't jump very high but his quickness and agility isn't bad for a guy his size. Certainly better than someone like Hawes who moves like he's in molasses. He should at the least be a good backup and has the potential to be a solid starter.

how did you come to that conclusion exactly?

i just want an iguodala trade and ill be happy
from nbadraft.net
Weaknesses: The main kink in Vucevic’s armor definitely revolves his lack of athleticism … Doesn’t run the floor very well and lacks any real explosiveness … Not very quick in his movements, and sometimes struggles with getting his shot off down low against the more athletic and long posts he faces at times … Definitely plays below the rim … Not going to be a great factor on D or as a shot-blocker at the next level…A step slow in pick and roll D, and will show up late on hedges…Has to be accounted for on D, using team defensive principles to not be a liability on this end … Playing with USC and two former NBA coaches give him experience in NBA-style defensive schemes, which will help, but he’s not gonna stop anyone on this end … Has ball-handling skills for his size, but not enough foot speed to really take much advantage
of course thats just one sites opinion. we still need a pf/c enforcer/rebounder to come off the bench.

Trade speights and 50. Grab Faried Hamilton or Brooks!

I like this idea but it really depends on how others view speights - then again teams do buy late 1sts so its not out of the question

Me thinks this night is over for the Sixers besides the 50th pick, which won't make an impact any time soon.
Oh wellz. Maybe Iggy trade will come another time.

It's just a franchise that doesn't really have any passion for what they are doing. You can tell. The only one who does is Doug Collins, but the entire front office is the walking dead.

Any chance we try to trade Speights and #50 to go get Hamilton in order to help move Iggy for expirings?

It is amazing how laughable the comments are on draft night...when was the last time he was a 2nd rounder...before the combine when he competed against everyone else???

Source: Sixers have quieted down on Andre Iguodala trade talks, deal now unlikely tonight
F me in the A. I hate this front office. I hate everything about this damn waste of an NBA team. I guess they could still trade him this summer, but now the return will likely be ever worse since teams have filled needs in the draft.
Whatever. Back to forgetting the Sixers exist until next year.

I'm serious when I say I hope the NBA locks out for a looooong time. It's best for the league and I can forget about this team for a while.
