Yeah I dont get it. In the past 3 years they ve won the second most games in the playoffs. They made the finals last year. No need to make so many wholesale changes to their team. I get that they wanted a goalie. I thought Vokoun was better anyways and he wouldnt have asked for so much.

Vokoun would of been a much better option. They didn`t need a stud goalie with their defense, just someone consistent and Vokoun fits that bill.

Yeah Philly pretty much shot themselves in the foot on this one. I don't like the term of this, 9 years is too long for anybody. I would cry if he did get injured and had to miss a chunk of games.

Just imagine if Timmy Thomas was a 28-30 year old FA this year what he would got? It's going to be crazy to see what the next goalie gets that flops in the playoffs
