I've been wanting him for a while. I think he'll be a great defensive player, and hopefully he can develop that 3 point shot. What a steal at #18!

Very nice pick for 18! Might pan out better than their 6 pick...someone who plays defense...wow, what a concept!

Am I the only one who thinks we just repeated Nick Young and Dominic McGuire only bigger and without Nick's scoring skills?

I don't like Shumpert, but where would Singleton have played for them? The minutes behind Melo are extremely limited. He can guard PFs, but playing him there means that Amare has to continue to play center with his bad back. And a Stoudamire/Singleton frontcourt isn't scaring anybody on the boards.

They should have taken Faried IMO.

If Josh Howard doesnt come back, I wouldnt even bat an eyelid if Singleton starts for us.

I bet he will end up playing the most minutes out of our rookies and sophs, excluding Wall.

Happy wiht this pick. I liked him early on and honestly didnt think he would drop. I'm confident he will develop into our main glue guy defensive expert with a half decent shooting game.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

As for Singleton on the Wiz, I love it. He and Vesely can play together, and they can switch off defensive assignments based on matchups.

Perhaps, but I don't question Donnie Walsh's skills. He has earned that much.

I mean, who saw Landry Fields or Wilson Chandler on their draft board radar?

Agree - happier with this pick than the Vesely one, but w/e...not like we don't need to surround the franchise (read - NOT 7 day Dray) with atheletes

Yeah, but Shumpert could also have been one last "F U" to Dolan for letting him go. LOL

True, but I would guess Walsh is way too professional for those antics...

Chandler was an Isiah Thomas pick.

Is McGee calling out Shard and the other perimeter defenders from last year? ;)

Great pick. We need stoppers and Singleton is the best defender in the draft.

No, he's saying that now that Singleton's here he can take even more plays off on defense.

By P I'm guessing he means Pierre.
