He still dont have a jumpshop, but he still manage to be successful in the NBA because of his knack in other aspects (rebounding, assist, defense).

He has ideal size at the 2 guard and will come in and start. Landry isn't fast-footed enough to guard SGs around screens. How many times did we see Landry get burned against Wade?

Not to mention this a guard oriented league now. You need athletic guards with good lateral D.

People think he comes in and takes Landry's job from day one? Let calm down a bit now.

What is that site that analyzes pull up jumpers and other jumpers and ****. Those numbers would be useful in understanding what his role is going to be on offense.

Still a streaky perimeter scorer, Shumpert is far too reliant on his jump shooting ability, and often looks to pull-up when he puts the ball on the floor. 68% of his shot attempts are of the jump-shot variety, but he knocks down just 28.4% of them, and gets even worse when pulling up off the dribble, making 19.5% of his pull-up attempts.

He has a slow release, but his shot selection makes up for it. With practice I think his shot will improve.

Love this pick. Considering who was left he was our man. All the top guards were snatched up, and we were left with a lot of forwards and a soft Euro.

Brooks and Selby continue their descent.

I still think we should have taken Singleton though. I know he's a forward but he's truly a special defender and at this stage he could have been useful against nearly every position on the floor, and certainly more useful than Shumpert defensively inside the paint where we have huge problems. I kinda like the pick, but we could have done better (Singleton was a no brainer to me).

i hope knicks sign a veteran pg or draft one in the draft

shumpert isn't a guy you want setting up, he's better off as a guy who breaks down the defense then kicking it out.

I dont think knicks plan on using him as a PG though honestly. He can guard them though...

Looks like we got our Dwyane Wade 2.0 and don't need O.J Mayo. He seems to have a polished game with his step back. For a guy who supposedly doesn't shoot well his 3 pt. shots seem to be pure net (Nick Young). Seriously he looks good guys with very high upside, I won't be suprised if Isaiah had a say in this (good thing).

I hope they don't use him as a point guard. Look at his turnovers in college, they're horrible.

Once again, like with Brewer, the Knicks were doing their new buddy Happy Walters a favor by drafting his new client Frumpbert.

Carmelo's tweet was so lame. Way to show support. Amare on the other hand showed why this is his team. Shumpert looks like he has good form on his shot. Let's give him a chance. Every year there is a guy that no one expects to become anything special. Then you look back and say wow that was a steal. Maybe we'll get lucky and Shumpert will be that guy.
