Bargs seems like he's on the go by the tone of Bryans voice

But he is undoubtedly the player that makes that situation most likely. I'm sorry but Knight or Walker would have indicated that Bargs was going nowhere.

How does Bargs have any impact on Val in that sense? It's not like we picked a jump shooting finesse big.....

Who says we need a finesse jump shooting big? Amir and Ed cannot play C full time and this kid can.

My assessment, he's mainly a pick and roll player, I don't see the defense in him that people are stapling onto his resume, good rebounder, decent shotblocker, can't create his own shot. So a taller Joakim Noah with more of a pick and roll game with less defense. That's a decent player I guess.

In this draft, I'd gladly take a version of Noah.

Well with less defense, which is Noah's strength. Val doesn't strike me as having a high basketball IQ. Noah's is very high.

He doesn't strike you as having high BB IQ? Maybe you perceive Noah as having more BB IQ because you've now watched several seasons of NBA regular season, playoff play, watched him give interviews, watch him talk **** to LeBron, etc, whereas Val is still learning the language, with minimal basketball exposure to the fans here. Very superficial impression.

....conducting interviews or the way you present yourself has nothing to do with basketball IQ.

I'm glad we picked Jonas.

Because it showed me who was ignorant, clueless and who actually knew a thing or two about basketball. Watching the general board when we picked was pure comedy. For me.

I missed that. Was this recent?

Derozan got a haircut and a thread was made. Messi made a tongue in cheek comment "f the mods up the (you know what)" and he got waived.

I know I quoted you, but I was kind of referring to the argument you having with that other guy. If you read what I wrote, you will see I am agreeing with you. Why on earth would I be advocating for another jump shooting big man?

Kemba was my 1st choice while Vals is my 2nd, so I won't complain much. Gotta appreciate BC willing to pick a project instead of turning into 'win now' mode. Some of you guys are crazy that wanting Biyombo over Vals.

Valaciunas has some solid basketball IQ. I know highlights don't mean much, but Val is really good at recognizing when to cut to the basket for a easy alley-oop pass. A player who recognizes when to cut easily demonstrates high IQ.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

I like Jonas as the pick. A simple breakdown might be:

Strengths: size, age, international experience, good motor, strong right hand finisher, good ft %, strong motor/energy player, upside future potential

Weaknesses: left hand ability, limited shooting range, defensive size match up problems, present team buyout clause
