No excuses, if any of the guys picked after us like Burks Walker Biyombo, Knight end up being better his ass needs to get fired.

But there is an excuse: you can't know the future. As of tonight, it's a good pick.

Yes lets defend the pick. And hate it when he comes over and struggles defensively. Hmmm how many times have I seen this story unfold before.

I know he doesn't. But hes still a pansy European whose weakness once again is his strength.

Being European means nothing. He'll easily improve on his strength like any other rookie.

Now you're just trolling with random BS.

I don't care what country prospects are from.

Valanciunas looks flimsy and weak as hell. On top of that he can't jump over a shotglass.

You are right, it's not racist - it's just absolutely ignorant and shows what little knowledge you have about what you are talking about (specifically our new Raptor).

I am pretty confident he could jump over a shotglass...

Can you blame them? They wasted a top 5 pick on a role player. He's an unpolished JJ Hickson. If I was a Cavs fan, I would be pissed too.

I dunno I think we desperately need a C, the chances of us getting a long term C via free agency are very slim. We've needed a for a damn long time and this was the best opportunity, I think he's the best fit available with the players we have and we know that there aren't any C's in next years draft.

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but here are some more recent highlights of him:

Based on that, he does remind me a bit of a taller Amir Johnson. No wonder his efficiency is high. The guy constantly cuts/rolls to the basket and tries to dunk it. That style of play probably generates a lot of fouls, so it's a good thing he's a good FT shooter.

He seems to have good hands, most of the passes to him are around his abdomen, but for the ones passed up top, he keeps the ball up there - same thing with offensive boards. Seems decently quick off his feet and has good timing for putbacks.

PG and SF slots are left empty... we have two young PF/C's we just used our last draft pick and big free agent move on....

What does JV do that Amir and Ed have not shown that they can't do? He is not a defensive specialist by any stretch, based on scouting we've all read. He doesn't have any offensive weaponry other then Orebounding. I guess he's taller? But also thinner.

I'm in the wait and see side. Very tentative on this one.

Nah from what I gathered we were apparently going in the direction of getting tougher. And we did the complete opposite of that. So I have every right to be mad in my opinion.

He's a toothpick. He got dominated by Robert Archibald. If anyone pick after Valanciunas ends up being a better NBA player BC needs to get kicked outta here.

Taller Amir Johnson in the Euroleagues doesn't really say much.
