Jonas V should have gone to Cleveland at 4 - he was projected to be the 3rd or 4th best player in the draft. Considering we pick 5th, you'd expect fans to be excited to grab the 4th best player in the draft, right?
Of course not. Boo hoo, I want hype, I want hype draft Kemba draft Knight that's all I know who else is in this draft?
Bismack had too many question marks. NO OFFENSE whatsoever. We're talking Ben Wallace minus 2 points. Sure he'd be good on defense, if not great down the road, but why not leave that spot open for a Center who can fill it up on both ends of the floor?
Jonas has incredibly quick feet which he uses to his advantage on both ends - offense and defense. He's an excellent help defender that knows how to switch (hmm, opposite of who?) and pick up the driving opponent. He's got a nice wingspan and blocks shots (even jumpshots) with the best. He's 19, and yes, he's 240 pounds, but he's BIG. BIG.
You'll all be so sorry when you turn your back on the Raptors and come to see that we drafted possibly the best Center in this draft. A 19 year old who was compared to Arvydas by none other than ARVYDAS HIMSELF??
I'll go back into hiding now, because I really don't want to see what you idiots will have to say in return. In fact, I already know what you'll say.
ARVYDAS WAS SOFT TOO!!!
You bunch of blowjobs.
Yes yes, everyone who doesn't agree with your opinion are blowjobs and idiots. Sounds like a Realgm'er to me.
If he can play defense and rebound, fine. Great. But our main defensive issues were perimeter based as much as big man based.
I will hold off because I just don't know enough about JV right now. I'd say it will take me a month into the season to get a feel at how far/how close he is to being a NBA player.
