Kings acqore 10th pick, Salmons for........

Post#1 » by vtime » Thu Jun 23, 2011 9:22 pm

Kings traded Beno Udrih and the #7 pick in a three way deal.

Kings get #10 and John Salmons

Bobcats get #7, keep #9 and acquire Corey Maggette

Bucks get Stephen Jackson, Beno Udrih and #19 pick

This deal is a sign that the Kings think this draft sucks. Nobody worth taking 7 who won't be there at 10.

If the Kings were so set that no one in the draft was worth anything, they should have traded the pick outright

This trade is terrible

Unless there's more moves to come, I think it may be time to show Geoff Petrie the door.

I can't imagine the Michael Jordan smile at this time.
Salmons? Another SG in this team? Lost Knigt?
I always knew Petrie was a madman.

Amen to that. This is a crazy deal for us. mind blowing bad. I simply can't believe this is right. Screw Petrie. Why not just draft fredette at #7 then? We got screwed BIG time in this deal.

This trade was to get the fan base against the franchise. NO support, no arena... Maloofs are dirty!

You guys had Salmons before so I assume you are familiar with him, but as a Bucks fan I wanted to know what to expect from Udrih. His numbers look solid at a glance but that doesn't always tell the whole story....

Pros:
- Great mid-range jumper
- Decent PG skills, but more of a tweener
- Decent finisher around the rim

Cons:
- Terrible defender, gets pushed around too easily, can't keep up with quicker guards
- 3pt is inconsistent
- Makes bad decisions sometimes
- Will miss FT in clutch situations (this goes for most of the Kings team actually)

Beno is a great back up PG, who unfortunately is paid like a starting PG. He'll be a great back up to Brandon Jennings, although I'm sure Skiles isn't going to be thrilled with his defense.

Sounds better than Keyon Dooling or Earl Boykins to me lol.

Hopefully Salmons bounces back for you guys like he does whenever he is traded, he was a pretty abysmal shooter last year and seemed to think he needed to prove his contract and carry the team and let it affect his game at times. His contract is only going to get uglier though....hopefully you can trade him asap.
