More than likely this is actually the end of the road for Big Al. Now that we have legit size at each of the two frontcourt spots, Millsap is actually a much better fit for our team. He can play alongside either (a fully developed) Favors or Kanter without yielding a massive size advantage and his game is diverse enough that there may be times when we would elect to go long stretches with him instead of one of those guys--much the same way that LA does by electing to go with Odom over Bynum at times.

No, Big Al is gone. He isn't ever going to be a bench guy, and has officially become a place holder for Enes. The quicker the Undertaker (yes, I'm using it) comes along the faster Al's departure date approaches. I love it.

I think this spells the end of Millsap in Utah. There just isn't room for him anymore and he is far too valuable to not get something for him.

I'm trying to move Millsap for Granger asap if it's available or make a run at a guy like OJ Mayo.

I dont get the Granger talk. Why take on an older player with a big contract while we are clearly not going to be contending for a championship anytime soon. By the time our young guys are developed his contract is up and who knows if you can keep him. I would say to try and move milsap for a younger SF and future picks. there would have to be other fillers like a good back up PG or something, I dont know. I just dont see how granger helps us right now.

Mayo makes a bit more sense but he might not be worth the possible headaches if the Jazz think they have a better guard in Burks. with the Jazz keeping these 2 picks it officially means that we are rebuilding and not "retooling". So i dont see any drastic moves to overhaul the roster anytime soon. I think they wont push anyone faster than they are willing to go so they wont just throw favors and kanter out there for 35 or 40 minutes a night. That said I think that the only trade that will happen before the season starts is milsap. He almost impedes the progress of our young bigs.

Our perimeter players aren't bad but down low Favors is our only hope. I like Kanter but the best I think he could be defensively is decent, same with Jefferson. Two decent defenders won't stop anybody, you need one decent and one great defensive presence down low.

Why not trade Jefferson and Millsap start Kanter and Favors, tank next season and get in on the Harrison Barnes or whoever sweepstakes lol jk these guys are young they don't need heavy minutes and need to start right away

well we still have poor defense and tragic perimeter shoot and this draft didn't change that a bit. And im like totally sold to that comparison Burks=Maggete, when someone is answering on question- Hobby: chilling  you should know what is a level of his intellect

I'd support that 100% actually. But either way, I just got way more pumped for the next season than I was before the draft. I also think Kanter might be a solid defender, he seems like he has the strength to be a solid post-defender, he just won't ever be an elite help defender. But thats what favors is for...

I love our picks...... I am so excited.......

But I swear, if Kanter and Burks do not get in the neighborhood of 20 minutes a game this upcoming season, I will tear out what's left of my hair......

And Favors and Hayward better start.......

QFT. Im tired of thinking we can develop players by making them sit and watch.

I came here now to say maybemi like picks i see in morning. Kanter is one i dont know if good. I think legend mistake made when leader koc chooses him from knight. Knight in my eye was sniper jazz need from trade williams. Maybe wrong, but i dont know even if next season. I do like burkes he seems he will destroy all of players that comes to him for challenges. We will be there my friends like cubans mavs. Millers and koc lead jazz to champions!!!!!!

Burks reminds me of Joe Johnson, and look at his jumper - it isn't broken by any means - I think he'll be a decent shooter.

My very first pick for #3 was Kanter. I went back and forth between Kanter and Knight every other day. The day of the draft, I was high on Knight, and was kind of disappointed at the Kanter pick.

But the more I read into it, and the more I think about it, the more excited I get. This guy has a lot of rust on his shoulders, don't get me wrong. But he's gonna be a force to be reckoned with once he gets his game on.

Burks has always been one of my #12 picks as well. I would have been happy with Burks, Fredette, or Walker.

Guys, I'm so excited.
