I love the comment he made leading up to the draft about being a "killer". I want the guy to be an animal out there and to put the fear of God into the opposing teams (so long as he is not fouling out in 17 secs every other game!!)

I love the kids upside, I love his attitude and I love the personality he brings to the team. Hopfully he is actually 18 years old and still has some growing to do. He's another kid who is going to be really important in forming our identity moving forward. I think that his skill set and attitude is right in the wheel house of Coach Silas and he's going to do wonders for the kid. Heck, look how much Coach Silas improved Kwaman over a short period of time. Bring on the Biz!!!

Thrilled with this pick! rebounding and blocked shots is exactly what this team needed!

^^
Agreed, I'm not worried about his offense at all. His defense is phenomenal.

He'll start at the 5 year 2 at the latest.

Welcome Bismack!!!

He's our only healthy C on the roster right now - he might be starting opening night!!

With what were trying to do, we might as well start him from day 1. What's the loose? Throw him in there and let him develop through actual playing time. That seemed to do wonders for Henderson and nearly every other "budding star" that ever came out of the draft.

Absolutely cannot wait to see him hit the floor. I wasn't his biggest fan, but hey he's a bobcat now so he has nothing but my support. Should have some monstrous blocks and bring a lot of excitement to the floor and in the post game press conferences! haha. I can defiantly get excited for the future of this team!

i thought when we drafted Jeremy Tyler that we were not going to pursue Kwame. But trading him for money makes me think we will try to re-sign Kwame and allow Biyombo to play behind him a bit to learn the game more, and maybe even with him at times.

Exactly Ohara even if this kid was good enough to start day we can afford to bring him along slowly to protect his confidence level. Let Blockmac and Kemba get their feet wet. Let's not rush their development afterall Harrison is waiting in the wings. lol

People keep complaining about his offense, it's not like we are asking him to score 25 a night. I love this pick.

No, we just want to score more than 65 a night.

Pretty excited about this fella. Potentially great insurance if Tyrus is broke'd.

-- Biyombo says no one should be concerned his contractual issues in Spain would preclude him from playing for the Bobcats next season: "I'm going to play in the NBA for sure next season -- 100 percent I'm sure of that.''

:D :D :D

-- Coach Paul Silas said there won't be many situations, at least as a rookie, where Biyombo will be able to guard NBA centers. That likely means backup minutes at power forward, with Boris Diaw moving over to center.

Puke.

having silas and oakley as coaches is going to be huge for his development. much better than having bernie, lb and vincent here, all of which were more guard oriented coaches. silas works magic with bigs and oakley should be able to teach him how to be a true enforcer (assuming oakley comes back).

i have said a few times that if silas was our coach when okafor was here that i think okafor would have been a better player, closer to reaching his true potential.

Yo fatlever, is Oakley even coming back as an assistant. I read somewhere that he might not come back. It'll be great if he does. Silas has done wonders developing most big men that he has coached and Oakley combined will do wonders for this kid.
