Sam Amick from SI.comgave us 9.5/10 for picking Jonas
President and GM Bryan Colangelo nails the half-court shot here, as Valanciunas became the apple of almost every lottery team's eye in recent days. He might not be available to join the Raptors next season, but he can man the middle for Toronto for a decade to come thereafter. He's a skilled and efficient scorer who can still fill out his 19-year-old frame.

Well he will fit right in, because a good amount of NBA players speak Ebonics and not English.

Since when does Weems bring any kind of defense to the court anyway?

DraftExpress Jonathan Givony
Will come to the NBA in 2012. Buyout is 2.4 million dollars. Great pick for Toronto. RT @barrylam: any news on Jonas Valanciunas' contract?

He's comin in 2012. If Givony (amongst others such as Ric Bucher, Sports Illustrated and multiple bloggers) from Draftexpress.com says its a good pick then it's a good pick.

What do you guys think the lineup will be when Jonas come over?
Calderon
DeMar
Davis
Barg
Jonas
??
Can Davis/Bargs play sf? Seems like they would have trouble on D.

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

Bayless

James Johnson
Ed Davis

Calderon should start, If you want see Jonas playing good, cause his best offensive weapon is pick n roll

I'd imagine that it Jonas would be coming off the bench initially, and there's a decent chance that one of the bigs (hopefully Bargs) would be gone; if so, Amir would probably start short-term.

And either SF or PG would be filled -- hopefully -- by whoever we draft next year after we suck mightily and get another high pick.

I'm guessing this would be the line up
Calderon
DeRozan
J.Johnson
Bargnani
Valanciunas

My ideal line up would be
Bayless
DeRozan
J.Johnson
Davis
Valanciunas

Bayless
DeRozan
James Johnson
Ed Davis
Jonas

2012 Lineup
Kabongo/Bayless/ Jeremy Lin
Derozan/ Dahntay Jones/ Sonny
Gay/Kleiza/J.Johnson
Davis/James Posey
Jonas/Amir

Praying that the rumour of 3 Way Deal comes true and Jose and Bargnani are out. Also I checked the checker and Alabi for Jeremy Lin makes sense. Looking pretty snappy.

C. JV
PF. E.Davis
SF. L.Kleiza(Next year we should see what we can do to improve this position if Linas doesn't recover well)
SG. D.Derozan
PG. J.Calderon(Next year we should draft a player that can play good pick n roll in this position)

Their was a rumour while back, but its only that for now.
Trade to Memphis
Andrea Bargnani, Leandrinho Barbosa, Paul George

Trade to Indiana
OJ Mayo, Xavier Henry, Jose Calderon

Trade to Toronto
Rudy Gay, James Posey, Dahntay Jones

http://www.bettingsportsreview.com/news ... -grizzlies

And with the Jonas pick, the cards look like its falling into place. People expected either Amir, Ed, or Bargs to be traded after the draft choice, this could happen! *pray*

Ah, that one. Yeah, I don't see it happening, but it'd be a fun team.

Bargs+Jose+Barbosa for Rudy Gay+Posey+Dahntay Jones

Unlikely, but would be awesome if true. We would be somewhat similar to a young, up-and-coming OKC team.

We probably need another backup big (Casey says they are looking at FA Bigs), but if thats the lineup.. I would be very happy.

Why would Memphis want a Barg/Zbo/Gasol frontcourt? Gay is the better scorer and defender and fits on the team better.
