The funny thing is that PK wants this exact kind of reaction from everyone. He has you right where he wants you...and that's exactly why he is with DJ. If it was just DJ the show would be slow, logical, practical and boring. PK is hilarious and actually knows what he is talking about if you can get past his shtick.

"He has you right where he wants you." Fast-forwarding 5% of the time and not bothering with the show the other 95%?

Exactly. The only reaction PK gets out of me is to change the station or turn it off altogether.

Yet they still dominate the sports radio talk here in Utah...and it's not even close.

You guys are just high maintenance

I began to understand PK's particular brand of humor after investing some quality time into the old MTV series Sifl & Olly. His shtick seems born from that show. Now I don't mind the show at all. It's better than Rome.

Miller was also picked in the Lottery and was more of a fringe starter but good sixth man just like I think Hayward will be, so far from a bust. I think people are just not too familiar with young Mike Miller otherwise there head would be spinning on how similar they are.

Mike Miller is a poor mans Gordon Hayward.

Wait, wait, wait, do some people actually like Matt Harpring as an announcer?

He's the worst thing to happen ever. Booner sucks too, but at least he's easier to ignore. Matt Harpring just says the same crap every game, which means I can't help but notice it.

I'd like the announcer to just call the game. Who's got the ball, where they are on the floor, the time on the shot clock, the score, some basic stat updates.

Basic stuff.

I'd take that over listening to babbling about fry sauce any day.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

For once, I'd just like them to read the advertisement without commenting on it. "How did I read the ad today? I'm just a rookie, but I think I did good! Ha!"

Every.

Game.

Let's face it, Harpring is here to appeal to the casual audience. Not that I'm being basketball elitist or anything, but for goodness sakes, we don't care about your fry sauce.

Thank GOD some other people can't stand him either. I think Boler is one of the cheesiest announcers ever too, but I may be in a smaller minority on that one. Booner, I think we all agree on. So hard to listen to, so delightfully easy to ignore (due to the muttering).

Harpring tries so hard to be funny and he is just not at all. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for the entire season because he was such an animal for us. Next season, not so much.

I will give him some credit, Earl-y oop and Go Go Gadget arms are nice little schticks.

I think Harpring's problem is Bolerjack. He's a bad influence on Matt, he dumbs him down quite a bit. Back when Matt was just doing guest spots on commentating I thought he was great and actually wanted him as a commentator. At the beginning of the season he wasn't as bad, but as the season progressed.... I'm pretty sure is was Boler who started with that rookie crap and commenting on his delivery of the ads.

I really think that if they paired Matt with someone less silly he would be fine.

Agree 100%.

You know, Harpring w/Locke would be a huge improvement. As much as I dislike Locke on the radio, I think he would be much better on TV. So much of what makes him unlistenable on the radio is all the crap he says trying to convey the excitement of the action to people who can't see it. A TV guy has to do a lot less of that. And on TV he'd have more time to talk about stats and other anecdotes.
