Smoove trade

Post#1 » by ATL Boy » Thu Jun 23, 2011 2:30 pm

I already offered this trade in one of our more recent threads but to me this is the most logical Bogut trade I could come up with so I thought it deserved a thread to its self. Here goes: Josh + Kirk + future first for Bogut + expiring. The Bucks get rid of a bad contract get an expiring and a mentor to Jennings + a first to help them rebuild. Josh will have value next year so they can trade trade him, (basically wherevever Josh goes D12 will want to go). Feedback please. (PS: Please dont bash by stating I already offered this in another thread I already know)

I offered pretty much the same idea a while back.

MIL fans hate it, unless you include Gooden and Salmons.
ATL fans hate it IF you include Gooden and Salmons.

Personally, I think you're dead on. Bogut beside Horford would be killer.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

I would only want to take on one bad contract (I would say Gooden), but we can take on Salmons too but only if they take Marvin, Marvin is younger so it would be sort of an upgrade to Bucks, the bad contracts would cancel out, and I dont think Salmons is worthless to us: he would add some much needed perimiter scoring.

Too sensible to ever happen.

Hawks get Bogut and 4.3 million trade exception from Phoenix

Phoenix gets Josh Smith and Zaza

Bucks get Gortat and Pietrus

I like it, but Bucks fans think of Bogut as some sort of god, they would not do this trade. But very nice.

funny how Atlanta is projected to lose 3 games
actually its not, you lose a starter and a backup for one starter. And 1 of your backups, Marvin or Kirk, is now a starter. Championship?

I would rather do the Varejao trade and just keep Smith. It's not that I don't like Pierce but he is 33, about to be 34, so you have to wonder how long he can perform at that high of a level.

Sneaky move for Boston in that it would possibly leave enough room with Garnett/O'Neal/Allen expiring to sign Howard in free agency and create a Rondo/Smith/Howard base for the future. I don't think they'd do it to a Pierce though. For us, it would give an alpha dog to take the pressure of Joe. If you've truly given up on Josh ever putting it all together for us it isn't a bad deal. The downside is that Pierce is old and might not like his new home which could cause the locker room to degrade.

although it is up grade for Boston but it is business. Pierce is loyal soldier, Boston fan wish to retire him as Celtics Warrior.
