Odom is the Lakers most valuable piece outside of Kobe and Bynum and I think the Bucks need a post player. I still thinks it really unlikely the Bucks will be ok with just Odom or a player similar to him.

Re: After Crazy Draft, MANY Quality PG's Available-Who U Wan
I think we should move Odom for a good PG but I don't think the front office will because they want to keep the core. The only realistic targets that we could get for the TPE and future draft picks would be Sessions and Flynn. Sessions is like Morris who we just drafted and Flynn is coming off an injury. If I were the Lakers I would try and get either Ellis or Jennings.
If Jennings is available then we should totally get him. He is a local guy and would thrive playing in a backcourt with Kobe. The only problem is that he shoots to much but that won't be a problem with Kobe,Gasol, and Bynum to pass to. He would be great for our offense as he can create his own shot, push the tempo, and is good in the pick and roll. Could a trade of Odom,Blake, and a future 1st for Jennings and Gooden work?
Ellis on the other hand is a dynamic scorer who is one of the best in the NBA. He shoots a better percentage than Jennings and is more athletic. I think he could be great coming off the bench as a 6th man like a Jason Terry but could also start at PG. Also he can play SG which allows Kobe to move to SF. With that lineup Blake or Morris could excell at the point as both are pass first PG's. Could a trade of Odom and a future 1st work for Ellis? The only problem with that trade is no backup PF. If the CBA is different and we can't sign someone like Martin or Landry we would be stuck with Caracter as the only option behind Gasol.

If we trade for Jennings or Ellis there's no way in hell Fisher/Blake will be the starting PG next season. If no trades go through I'm actually hoping Morris wins the starting job. Fat chance that happens, I know. With that said, I'm banking there will be no trades of any kind and whenever the season starts it will start with this team (plus whoever we sign as a backup C). It will take another raping in the postseason for the Lakers to wake up and realize a change needs to happen.

I'd like to get Ellis the most as he is a great scorer and could take pressure off of Kobe. If Golden State took a trade of Odom,Blake, future 1st for Ellis that would be best possible trade for us. If we could then sign Kenyon Matrin and Jeff Foster then we would be favorites to win the title.
Ellis/Morris
Kobe/Fisher/Goudelock
Artest/Barnes/Ebanks
Gasol/Martin/Caracter
Bynum/Foster

Drew Gooen would be included with Jennings as I mentioned before.

Yup and Beno is a Skiles guy.
How did it become that Mil is interested in Odom?
Skiles has always liked Odom I believe and primarily because Odom is WAY BETTER than the garbage the Bucks currently have at PF ... a combo of Beno and Odom is much better than jennings and garbage ... adding Odom and plugging Beno into the starting PG spot gives the Bucks one of the top 6 or 7 starting lineups in the East. I could see Odom averaging 18/11/5 and making the all-star squad in beer town for sure.
And why would Mil trade arguably their best player for Lamar?
See above and because Skiles isn't a Jennings fan.
Obviously I'd do it but I don't see why Mil is shopping Jennings, I remember hearing about it earlier but I never knew why the Bucks were doing it. Khloe & Lamar filmed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin? Worst ratings ever. It's boring enough in California.
It would improve the show ...

It wouldn't have to be "just Odom" ... we'd already be doing the Bucks a favor and taking Gooden and his contract off their hands ... we could also add in Ebanks, Caracter, a 2012 #1 and cash ... that is a very solid trade for the Bucks and Odom would be an all-star in beer town and lead them to a top 6 seed ... in fact they could win their division and get a top 4 seed if the Rose has any injuries.

An Odom, Blake, 2012 #1 for Monta Ellis is more realistic than an Odom, Ebanks, Caracter, 2012 #1 and cash for Jennings and Gooden ... but I'd rather have Jennings than Monta (either would be fine though and a monster upgrade for us at the PG position) ... Jennings is a better 3pt shooter, better passer, younger, cheaper and more athletic (the guy who said Monta is more athletic is nuts) ... but Monta is a bad boy as well and can play both guard positions unlike Jennings.

You'd watch Khloe & Lamar if it was shot in Milwaukee? A move like that would be the death of the show. And as far as Skiles not being a fan of Jennings, I could easily see Bucks mgmt stepping in and telling him to get over it. And lol at the possibility of the Bucks finishing ahead of the Bulls with just the addition of Odom. Injuries or not that is extremely difficult to picture.

I thought that Ellis was more athletic because I've seen more of him. But now that I looked at Jennings he is more athletic of the two. I don't know if Jennings is really available but there have been rumors about Ellis but we would probably have to take on a bad contract like Biedrins to get him. I would still do it though because we need a backup C and Ellis is the main reason why we do this deal. Eventually Kobe will slow down so Monta could pick up the slack in a few years. Being able to play SG is important because then Morris who is a past first PG could thrive. He would play PG on offense but SG on defense and Ellis would be SG on offense but PG on defense similar to Kidd and Terry of the Mavs. I hope that we can get Ellis.

Except that Jennings does nothing the Lakers need, he shoots the 3 ball at a career 35% lol, and his field goal percentage is awful. He does nothing better then Monta Ellis. But you guys are crazy if you think Odom is better/ has more value then Brandon Jennings and Monta Ellis, it's a garbage deal for both teams to except a trade with Odom being the primary guy going back. Odom fills a need the Lakers need and can afford despite his age, something most teams don't want. Don't get me wrong I think either of the guys is an exceptional upgrade to Fisher, especially Monta, who has potential to be a strong defensive player as well as an exceptional play maker when playing under the right coach, but you have to be realistic.

monta is an amazing offensive player and a great thief on D. they got D Lee so i dont see how lamar fits on that team.. (system fits for him). i can see odom fitting in on the bucks.. i think we overvalue jennings. i think only because jennings is young.. i give him more value than odom. however, for that team.. because they have beno, stephen jackson, delfino, (odom), bogut. that would be a solid starting 5. jennings didnt improve much from last year and his shooting is horrible. i wouldnt mind having him on our team but if a healthy gooden came with him, wouldnt be too bad.
If we had a choice between monta and bjennings.. are u SERIOUS? who wouldnt pick monta!! he's a freakin beast! scoring machine! AMAZING PLAYER. jennings.. mediocre right now with some potential.

In a perfect world where we could rip off any team we wanted sure, getting a starting PG and a younger, cheaper, better defensive backup PF would be ideal. It's just not realistic.
If the amnesty clause really comes in I would agree that particular trade isn't realisitic, but as-is and if there is no amnesty clause under the new CBA, itt is quite realistic ... the Cavs do NOT want Baron and only agreed to accept him and his horrible contract because of the draft pick the Clips were including.
Varejo is also considered a bad contract by some and with the Cavs just draftingTristan and already having JJ on board, he isn't really needed ... I'm sure they'd like to have the 2-time champ and vet who has the better contract in Odom and if they have to trade Diddy and his horrible contract for two suck players and their equally horrible yet less expensive contracts to do it, I think they would.
What do the Cavs want with LO when they have JJ Hickson and just used the #4 pick on a 6'9 PF?
The best piece in your trade plans is useless to the Cavs, they can't play him and their young PFs at the same time and they need to get their young PFs minutes. It takes 2 teams to make a trade work, and both have to get something worthwhile. Another PF isn't something worthwhile to the Cavs.

bogut is infinitely better and more valuable than jennings
I think that's debatable. Many a Bucks fans view Jennings as their best player.

MIL is pretty stupid if they deal Jennings. HOWEVER, as one poster pointed out, he's not the type of PG Skiles would want running his team. talented PG,yes, but not the "I'll-set-you-up-then-just-look-for-my-shot-if-nothing-is-falling-or-if-I'm-open" type of PG. Beno and Shaun fits Skiles system, Dooling has no choice but to pass since he isn't that explosive and consistent anymore.
but LO+whoever for Jennings+Gooden? I can't see how LA would benefit from this as much as what they're getting from Odom.
starting PG:check, but will he co-exist with Kobe?
back-up PF/C:check.this one intrigues me. Gooden is solid. if there is any way of getting him only, I think it's still a win for LA since Gooden wouldn't be dealt by just swapping him with LO or any of the 3 LA bigs. problem is MIL won't have a back up C aside from Brockman. so I gues I'm contradicting my statement.
let's just not deal with MIL, or specifically not Jennings or Gooden. I'd rather get Livingston.
