He can run Fields and Walker at that spot, and both aren't bad defenders. They really don't need point skills from the two spot, how tough is it to get it to Melo or Amare?

Could it really be that Dantoni has bowed down to the pressure to add some defensive aspects to his lineup. I guess his boss getting fired might have scared his @$$ a little, letting him know that no one is safe!!! I LOVE IT!!!

No way, he walked away from money here, and said he decided to take his ball and leave. He has decent defenders at that position already. Their defensive issues are the same ones we had at the PF. D'Antoni still wants to prove that his revived style can win a chip. Unless they trade either Walker or Fields, I don't see Shumpert getting the minutes.

With Rose and Wade to face all yr long +... I think it was a wise pick by NY to draft someone with the athletic ability to cover those guys. I think Singleton may be too big/lanky to cover Rose where as Shumpert is a PG/SG.

You guys can unwad your panties at any time. Again, you were expecting too much... I even fell prey to it for a while. Nobody wanted Pietrus, very few wanted LOWpez, we couldnt trade an unsigned Brooks, and we didnt covet many of the later picked.

All this negative chatter comes from most of you who want to blow it up and suck anyway. Keep flappin. After listening to several takes (radio) on the talent selected later on, I really dont think we have missed out on much. Who knows, may be we invite a couple sleepers to camp.... woops... what camp ?

Furthermore, Morris wasnt a bad selection at all... probably one of the better all around-er PFs in the draft. Nuts to you psychoanalysts who feel he will have separation anxiety... he's a grown ass man, and has prepared for this day as a professional. I do chuckle at the FOs attempt to spin it like he is 'their stamp' on the make up of this team.... but that comment in itself says there is more to come.

Doesnt anyone find it interesting we bought some more time to pay off VC ? I am curious as to what is going on there (also with Brooks). And please, dont try to tell me it is because of Sarver doesnt want to cut him a check.

Ok... now continue pissing on the cheerios

And he is playing next to a grown ass man who will slap him silly if he gets separation anxiety.

Frank is correct. If NY ever wants to win the East they need someone to guard Rose, Wade, Rondo etc...

Even though it's not perfect, a lineup of-

Nash
Fields/Shumpert
Melo
Amare
Dalembert

could win the East

^ ok sure it would win the east, but dont you think theyd have to give up some of their assets to get nash in the first place...

Billups/Shumpert/Fields for Nash/Lopez? That's extremely tempting. Especially if the Suns are VERY high on Shumpert or not. If they are, which I have my likes and dislikes with him......then yes, pull the trigger.

I'm thinking he goes there as a FA but i would do Shumpert/Billups for Nash now.

Horrible for us. Nash is better than Billups; Shumpert and Fileds are role playing wings, we have Duds for that and Chill!!! I still like Lopez here as a backup over that trade.

See, what I was thinking after the Cavs selected Tristian Thompson at No 4 is the Suns were gonna draft Shumpert at No 13, and then trade Vince Carter for Baron Davis and JJ Hickson.
I'm glad they didn't, but still, that's just what came to my mind, lol. But just for imagination...
Nash/Brooks/Dowdell
Davis/Dudley/Shumpert
Hill/Childress/Pietrus
Hickson/Warrick/Lawal
Gortat/Frye/Lopez

Damn, that's deep, lol.

add Warricks contract to that deal so the Suns get $4m more of cap space next summer

it is very tempting if the Suns are horrible and Knicks are doing okay.
I think they would be all over that deal. The Knicks would probably do it tomorrow if they could
