Indy has Hansborough already. And if they really liked Davis over George, they would've just drafted him

That logic is extremely faulty. Sometimes teams pick a guy and see another guy is better, or fits better later on. Maybe they think George is better than Ed and if so that's fine, but maybe they'd do the deal. We don't know.

Where is Bargnani a good fit where we can get something back
IND: Collison + Posey?
MIL: Gooden (sent to 3rd team) + Jennings?
DEN: S&T Chandler?
ORL: ?
PHI: S&T Thad Young?

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Philly, Denver, Milwaukee and Orlando are all great fits. I'd see Orlando as the best option just because putting Bargnani beside a Dwight Howard is deadly.

Richardson is a FA and BC won't trade Bargnani unless he gets something back

Youngblood wrote:Yea it all depends on the situation. I wonder if there's an option at Point Guard available as opposed to Paul George, since next years draft is loaded with wing talent. It's just so that we don't bank on getting Myck who could get snatched up before our pick, whereas there are a plethora of wings to choose from.
I think there's a pretty good chance Myck will be available, unless if we're picking outside of the lottery. Teague is going to get all the hype joining that stacked Kentucky team, while Texas' roster has been depleted significantly after this draft (did they lose their entire starting lineup?). Myck could really be a steal for someone later on in the lottery , or perhaps even in the mid first round. There's a ton of prospects and a lot of uncertainty right now:
A.Davis/Sullinger/McAdoo/Barnes/P.Jones/Gilchrist/Q.Miller/Beal/Rivers/Teague/Wroten are all players that should definitely be in the same mix as Kabongo (of course there's a ton of uncertainty right now as to exactly where guys stack up, we need to see them play in college first), plus there's some other guys that could end up in there like Birch/LeBryan Nash/Terrence Jones/Adonis Thomas as well.
And even if Myck isn't there, guys like Teague/Wroten are good PG prospects themselves if they're still on the board (and at least one will be with all the bigs/wings in that draft). I wish there was a way to land another pick so we could cover our bases with a PG/SF (but we know that's never going to happen, even though we'll hear about it leading up to next year's draft).
With regards to PGs we can trade for instead of Paul George, it really seems unlikely unless Lawson/Curry/Holiday become available. Perhaps acquiring a guy with upside like Jennings or Flynn without having to give up Ed is a better course of action (although Jennings might be impossible now after bringing in Udrih)

Why do you say that? You think they're going for it all right now?

Re: 2011-12 Toronto Raptors Trade Ideas Thread Pt II
id do something around Amir + Bayless for Jennings. Just because of his chemistry with Demar and it balances the roster.
Jennings
Derozan
Johnson / Klezia
Bargnani / Davis
FA / Val

Re: 2011-12 Toronto Raptors Trade Ideas Thread Pt II
Milwaukee is the only team I see Bargnani getting dealt to, if at all.
They don't appear to be rebuilding. They just added Stephen Jackson to Bogut and Jennings. They are lacking a PF at the moment. I could see them going after Paul Millsap or somebody like that, but other than him, there don't appear to be many PF targets. They do have Illyasova, but for some reason, they are looking elsewhere. So, that leaves Sanders and Gooden as their PFs. So, that's a position I could see them targeting.
I'll say that a lineup of:
Jennings
Delfino
Jackson
Bargnani
Bogut
is pretty formidable, all things considered.
I don't know if they have the salaries though to makes things work. I'd love Tobias Harris (their 1st'rder) and/or a 1st rd'r from them. Throw in Livingston and Illyasova for salary purposes (not that it'd be enough).

Re: 2011-12 Toronto Raptors Trade Ideas Thread Pt II
I'd love this
To TOR: Posey + Rush + 2012 1st Round Pick (top 5 protected)
To IND: Bargnani
They need a PF and need scoring.
Collison / Price
George / Hill
Granger / Jones
Bargnani / Hansbrough
Hibberr / C (FA)
I'd hope to walk away with
- Kabongo
- Barnes/Miller/Gilchrist
I'd do this by throwing the IND 1st + future 1st to move up and secure them
Kabongo
Derozan
Gilchrist/Barnes/Miller
Davis
Valchunias
I'm in love. Yes I'd give up a 2013 1st + IND 1st to get this dream to come true. Which I think can get it done. Ok back to reality of BC never doing this even though I like our lineup
Calderon / Bayless
Derozan / Rush
Johnson / Klezia
Davis / Amir
C (FA) / FA / Alabi
* Val not over yet but lockout seems inevitable

I think they're very happy with Hansborough as their starting PF. Davis would be just a backup while George is their starting guard

How do they need a PF? They like Hansborough and he's shown he's at least decent

Amir is reasonably paid, Marvin is overpaid especially since he'd probably slide into a backup role before his contract finishes(think Jose).

Atlanta ......Smith, ZaZa, Hinrich
Toronto -----Jose, Amir & JJ
Jose, Amir & JJ for Smith & ZaZa Toronto 17.15million Atlanta
TPE for Hinrich
Why basically salary dump for Atlanta but get 3 decent players
Toronto we get a quality SF in Smith can draft a PG in 2012 draft, ZaZa contract 2 year give us C till Val matures, Hinrich expires after next season.
Cuts rebuilding by one year.

Yeah, right. Atlanta gives Josh Smith for 3 guys who probably don't start on most NBA teams with 2 of them arguably being overpaid
