Cut by the Angels today. I'm all for bringing him in if we can. I know he has lost alot of what he had when he was amazing, but he is young and with a pitching coach that he trusts and a team he feels is behind him I think he could be a top end starter again.

Seems like if we are the type of team that signs Oliver Perez, Ching Mien Wang, and Yunesky Maya, we are definitely the type of team that signs this guy.
What's his velocity been like this year?

His fastball was at 94, now its in the high 80s, low 90s. I dunno...I'd take a chance on him, stick him Triple A and see if he can work out the kinks. There's no pressure here for him to win 20 games.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

At his peak in Tampa, the fastball would hit 94-95.
What made him effective during those couple of good years was a terrific slider.
Kazmir lost command of the slider the last year or two, and his velocity plummeted to 88-90. Kazmir wasn't one to pitch inside ever, so he'd throw 20 plus pitches an inning trying to live on the outside edge.
In his final 6 weeks in Tampa, Kazmir somehow regained that velocity and command, and the Angels bit on it and traded for him.
I'm not sure he's done, but it will be an uphill battle.

Has he landed anywhere yet? I have not heard anything about him signing a minor league contract with anyone.
