Lebron might win one title one day. But this year he is now a year older and one year less of playing time.

You got has beens like Ron Harper and Brian Shaw playing vital roles. Mark Cuban called them "Kobe & Shaq and the merry men of minimum." Shaq and Kobe were two of the top 5 of their time just like Wade and Lebron. But Shaq and Kobe never had a 3rd wheel like Bosh. So don't give me that Lakers were deeper crap. You saw for your own eyes what Lebron was doing in the last 5 minutes of some of the most important games of his life, which was NOTHING. His favorite move was to pass to Chalmers with 8 seconds left on the clock and start back-tracking the other way. If it was a 26 yrs old Kobe who had teamed up with Wade and Bosh, Dallas would be toast.

Don't make up excuses for your Lebron. He royally screwed up. It has nothing to do with having a prime Shaq. He had a prime Wade and Bosh. I mean what does it take for Lebron to win the NBA title? All-Stars at every position? Admit that your man choked and move on. He's still young, so you still have time. But don't give me this Kobe had a deeper team crap. The Heat is one of the best teams ever assembled. I don't ever recall a time in this league where 2 of the top 3 teamed up, then also get another top 15 as their 3rd wheel.

The difference is Kobe and Shaq won their first championship with like 4 years of experience playing together. This was his first year with Wade and Bosh.

That's why I said over and over his Lebron still has time. Plus, that guy's argument that Lebron could win too if he had Shaq is moot because Kobe has 2 titles without Shaq. So lets don't compare Kobe's first 3 titles. Lets see if Lebron can get 2 with Wade and Bosh to match what Kobe did with Pau. It truly was a pathetic arugment and excuse. I mean what's the next excuse? Lebron can win too if he had Pau? LOL!

Kobe couldn't do it the first year with Gasol either. Got to the Finals and lost, just like Lebron. I think anyone who understands basketball realizes LeBron is going to get rings.

Umm pretty sure Kobe didn't have a whole training camp or full season to practice with Pau, and Bynum was out....don't remember him having 2 Team USA players along his side.

As far as Lebron having a prime Shaq and winning a title....how? 2 of the worst fourth quarter superstars in history...who exactly would close out the games for a championship? Shaq at the free throw line? Or Lebron passing up clutch shots to Rick Fox? I don't get it.

Um pretty sure D-wade was out for the preseason[/quote]

I hope you're being sarcastic like I think.

You're comparing a player being out for the preseason after having already played him with during the Olympics and gone through a full training camp to a player joining a team in the middle of the year?

Well actually it's more like three and a half years because of the lockout, but even then the big difference is that Bryant was a rookie fresh outta HS in '97 and not a 7 year vet coming off of back-to-back MVP awards. Besides, thanks to Del and his big white head Kobe couldn't even get off the bench his first two years in the league.

The Lakers also had to deal with MUCH tougher opponents and they eventually fell to Malone's Jazz twice in '97 and '98 and Duncan and Robinson in '99. Both of those teams were a hell of a lot better than anyone Miami faced this year.

Return to Los Angeles Lakers
