Miami Heat = Miami Hurricanes of the 80s?

Not trying to troll or bait cause I'm a Heat fan.

But how do you feel about the Heat hate? Is it bad? Is it good? Do you want it to go away?

If some of you remember the Miami Hurricanes of the 80s, nobody liked them. Everybody hated Miami as a city and the U. But the U embraced the hate and Miami also embraced the team. Also we won championship, had winning streaks, it was pure dominance. We had style and charisma and personality, but we also won.

People hate Miami as a city cause we get the Heat Big 3 and there are more "diehard" sports (basketball) towns like idk NYC and we don't "deserve" our team cause we don't support any sports teams as much as others do.

There's a lot of similarities between the two teams. Both hated, both were stacked, idk if some of you ever watched the U teams of the 80s and early 90s but we were stacked as hell.

The Hurricanes had a mean nasty streak in them. You was AFRAID to play that team. Winning or losing you had to respect that team cause they hit hard. They would try to lay you out. They were gunning for you. They didn't mind fouling you either. You knew they were there. They were like the Bad Boy Pistons of college football.

Also they really didn't mind the hate. They actually liked it, it was something to celebrate. Nobody liked Miami as a city either, you had the cocaine cowboys, you had all types of violence in the city. Media didn't like Miami period, you were told to stay clear away from Miami.

But the Miami despite similar situations, doesn't have the personality of the Miami Hurricanes of the 80s. Miami Hurricanes were mean and flamboyant. It doesn't have the coaching of them either. One thing a bout those Hurricanes, they had the best coaches. Those coaches were great personalities and it showed through the players. Those coaches also knew football.

There are a lot of similarities between them. Let's just hope this Heat era is as successful as the The U of the 80s.

If they hate you, they're watching you.

Nah the Heat players don't get paid as much
Your emotions fuel the narratives that you create. You see what you want to see. You believe what you want to believe. You ascribe meaning when it is not there. You create significance when it is not present.

lol!!! Or have as many Jeri Curls or jewelry

But no...the Da U had reason to be hated! They were that good. They won championships! They ruled the 80's and the early 90's. The coaches from other schools, especially out of state schools, were just mad that they couldnt come into the state of FL and grab up our kids anymore.

But, the Heat are hated. Believe me. I live in Orlando. AND a Laker fan. Once they when championships, they may become the Hurricane's of the 80's. For now, they are just hated.
