Gasol for Varajeo, Sessions, and the # 4 pick.

You replace Gasol's defense and rebounding (may be even better, but not a better shot blocker than Gasol) give Gasol's shots to mostly Bynum and some to Odom.

Upgrade the PG position now and add your PG of the future all in one move.

Only caveat, a decent center would have to be signed (MLE?) to back up Bynum, as if Bynum is out, Varajeo could not absorb all of the minutes there.

That's a very solid trade actually. I'm sure we'd grab Kanter with the #4 though he might be gone by then ... if he is we are sort of stuck drafting a PG and then having Sessions just sitting around .. I'm not a Sessions fan anyways so I'd do this trade to get Varejo and a Knight/Kemba/Jimmer and then just ship Sessions out ...

varejo is a great defensive player, can guard both PFs and Cs 1-1 VERY WELL, he rebounds extremely well for a guy his size, he hustles and he take charges better than fisher.

also the most important thing about him is setting screens on transition/semi transition since he's always running the floor. LeBron misses that A LOT.

IIRC Lebron+Varejo was NBA's best (+/-) combo even tho he was a bench player.

If we can dumb Blake and Walton's contract I would do it.

Anyway, why the **** did we hire a defensive specialist to be our coach in the first place? Do people really think he'll make our current roster become a great defensive team just by talking to them? We pack the paint and we'll remain doing that, if the opposing team is shooting well from the outside then we're ****.

That's the only thing we can do since our starting C lacks mobility to defend PnR and surprisingly our starting PF that plays as our back up C can't defend the perimeter anymore..

also our back court have more minutes in the nba than the entire cavs+twolves+kings rosters combined.

So we're **** because we'll still suck on offense if kobe is struggling but our defense wont improve a bit if we keep the same players...

I fear for Lakers' future now with Jerry's (Please Use More Appropriate Word) son running the franchise.

I might consider getting varajao for Luke straight up. Other then that. No thanks. His contract is awful, his hair is annoying, and he sucks.

His hair is irrelevant. He also doesn't "suck". Most people wouldn't think that if his contract wasn't so bad.

But there's one problem.. his contract IS bad.. so therefore, he sucks. haha

But no, I wouldn't mind his hustle on this team at all.. I just wouldn't give up anything we have in order to get him.. I'd take him over a lot of players in the league, but who on our team would you give up to get him?
