Hawks Minicamp

http://www.ridiculousupside.com/2011/6/ ... cus-landry

Partial list of invitees includes one of the best crop of undrafted free agents that I can remember getting invited to Atlanta:
Malcolm Thomas PF from San Diego St.
Demetri McCamey G from Illinois
Brad Wanamaker G from Pittsburgh
David Lighty G-F from Ohio St
Jeremy Hazell G from Seton Hall

Marcus Landry is the highlight of the vet invites. Maybe they'll find hidden gold in a prospect now that they run out of cap space to work with.

Would have liked to see Gary Flowers there.

From that list I think we should choose between McCamey and Wanamaker then take Lighty. 2 guys should go into camp with us.

Lighty, McCamey, Landry, and Thomas all need to be signed. Move Marvin to Cleveland for 2nd's and MLE to Quan Cook(3 point shooter) and Pryzbilla..

I would definately sign McCamey and Lightly, best and young prospects that should have been drafted and we can develop on to role players.

They also fill a need of a 3rd pure PG with size and a defensive specialist on the wing.

I would like also to see Greg Smith on Hawks camp

Both Atlanta and Phoenix have contacted ex-Ohio State guard David Lighty. He will be in someone's training camp (whenever that may be). (Sam Amico Twitter)

The problem with signing anyone is that the lockout could be an extended battle. I assume a player would have to be amazing to get a contract out of this. The more likely outcome would be a camp invite depending on when camp gets here.

Malcolm Thomas "SF" from San Diego St. fixed.

Make this sh*t happen Sund.

Remember a certain other 6'8.5 small forward who struggled without a playmaker but was a great mid range shooter and eventually developed 3 point range.

And Thomas can actually run pass and score in the paint do to his length. 8'10" reach is funny because Josh has that same reach

hmmm...
