Future of the NBA's "Run-N-Gun" Teams

Post#1 » by dukeknicksirish » Tue Jun 28, 2011 12:32 am

This will be the future of the Run-N-Gun teams...

5.Damarcus Cousins/Hassan Whiteside
4.Jason Thompson/Darnell Jackson
3.Omri Casspi/John Salmons/Tyler Honeycutt
2.Tyreke Evans/Francisco Garcia/Tyler Donte Greene
1.Jimmer Fredette/Isaiah Thomas/Pooh Jeter

This is if Dally and Thornton aren't resigned....

And also i don't know if Casspi or Salmons would start

+1 not gonna work too well with him. Not the best 3 point shooting team either. We should definitely score a lot especially if thorton is back but I don't think we are the old J-will kings or the suns.

hahaha, I'm sure Cousins would love to run and gun, shoot the 3 ball, dribble it up like Nash, etc. but I don't think we'd approve!!! haha.

The Kings still play up tempo, but certainly not a run and gun team. Of course, with all the offensive weapons they have they might have to to keep them all happy.

If I'm not mistaken Thornton's already been sent a qualifying offer, which I believe means Sacramento can match any offer he gets.

Just because we drafted Jimmer doesn't make us a run and gun team. Our two best players still work best in the half-court. Also run and gun is a gimmick and half-court>run and gun if you have the players for it. Now Jimmer is a great pick in that if the Kings want to win they are going to need 3 good three point shooters around Cousins and Evans.
