Between the statement on the WWE website (http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/2011-06-27 ... pends-punk) and the fact that no one cut him off earlier, this will definitely be worked into a storyline.
Of course it's all a work lol... that's why it's a worked shoot... but what Punk said was the "Truth".... they basically gave him the mic and told him to say whatever he wanted to... and well, he told it like is, big-time haha... he went over-the-top with his rant, and that's what Vince and WWE wanted him to do... it was visceral and surreal. I figured the creative team would do this... turn this WWE/Punk contract/backstage situation into a storyline, since Punk is not expected re-sign with the WWE in real-life, due to displeasure with his character usage and direction... Punk is going to take a break for a bit imo, but when he comes back, he's going to be even more HUGE... unless he has a change of heart and re-signs before his current deal expires.
Btw, I've been enjoying R-Truth's recent work as a heel too. He reminds me of Brian Pillman... just off the walls crazy.

R-Truth, CM Punk, Christian, and Mark Henry are the only 4 guys keeping me interested in the WWE product... all of them have stepped up their game.
I can't wait until Jericho returns.
