Comparing Evans and Jimmer is hard to do. Evans for his position is HUGE, Jimmer is adequate. Evans has the length of some PF's in this league and that makes up for a lot of differences. Combine that with similar athleticism and advantage Tyreke. Bottom line, Jimmer is a great fit for Tyreke and Cousins, and vice versa.

Sprint (seconds): Jimmer = 3.21, Tyreke = 3.17

Those numbers were made up by the Maloofs who just wanted the cash cow.

I wasn't a big fan at first but as the draft got closer started to warm up to the thought of him being selected. I think people are frustrated by the Knight slipping scenario and Salmons contract moreso than the pick itself. The Knight slip was bad because it was like they threw down there hand before all the cards were dealt. I think he will work well with Evans and will become a better defensive player than people think but I am being an optimist.

Nah, I heard they spotted Jimmer 7 reps because he's white.

Bench Press for basketball players is vastly overrated. Tyreke has MUCH longer arms than Jimmer. How long your arms are significantly affects how hard it is to bench. For every rep Tyreke does, he's doing much more "work" than Jimmer is.

Believe what you want but the only reason Fredette is here is due to ticket sales but I can't fault the Maloofs for that that just had to sell all but 2% of their major business. I hope it works out on the court but in the past when players are drafted for the buzz; it turns out ugly.

I would post the article( but I'm too lazy) where it says not only wasn't Brandon Knight was on the Kings radar but they had 4 guards before him, including Jimmer. So your " assessment that it was just a PR move is bull. I see you're from DC, you prob haven't listen to the radio shows in Sac. Everyone was drooling over JImmer for about 2 weeks before the draft. Ya I know it's hard to get the inside scoop when you're so far away, but believe me, JImmer was the best pick they could of got at 10nth...and him being a media sensation is just icing on the cake.

Grant also said that four guard thing on his radio show.

Paul Westphal was also blasted the media for those rumors on the radio as well.

It's only been reported by damn near every basketball insider leading up to the draft. The Maloofs want Fredette but the front office and coaches since they are on the hot seat like Walker or Leonard.

Believe what you want, but when's the last time anything was leaked out of the Kings front office to any "insiders" outside of local reporters. Fredette may have been picked to help ticket sales but usually good players help ticket sales. Just try not to state something as fact when you [should] know its not.
