Nazr Mohammed signs one year extension

Speculated to be ~$2M. Seems really cheap. Might have taken less to stay here.

Anything 4m and maximum 2 year is a good deal. If it was a 2m single year deal that's a bargain no matter his role.

Nice Deal. The Thunder might be adding the salaries of Nazr and Cook (5 Million), to try to cap Westbrooks salary next season, so they can also re-sign Harden and Ibaka.

Surprised Nazr was willing to sign a one year deal. He certainly could have garnered a longer contract on the FA market. It's a good example of how the established "culture" can pay off.

I see Nazr as a smart insurance policy. For a team with championship aspirations it makes sense to have experience and size available. If Aldrich or Mullens don't progress Nazr is there to carry some of the load and if they are Nazr won't mind taking a back seat to younger players.

Right on I really like Nazr. I think he was an under rated pick up last season. He is a very solid back up to Perk.

I'm glad he wanted to stay on the roster.

Nazr was awful in the playoffs, so there's a real possibly he may fall off that 'big man cliff' next season. Presti is smart to keep it to one year but like sonictecture I'm surprised Nazr took it. The $3.75M is probably a trade off for the one year. He could have certainly gotten a long term contract elsewhere.

If he plays next year like he did during this year's regular season it's good value.

He has trade value. He'll see minutes at RS if Cole Aldrich is terrible.
