unexpected. I can understand not appreciating Maggette's suck. I didn't appreciate it either until I lived through it. But I didn't realize Cats fans were thankful for Jackson.

Because not all Bobcats fans should share the same opinion. I for one have no problem to say that he was a pain in the ass and that i'm glad he's gone. Not that I would understate his contributions to the team or his taIent as a player, but he just wasn't built for the role he was supposed to handle here. I don't agree with you about the Jax-Vlad trade though, in hindsight it yielded us something on the net, whereas Maggs is not even a heavier burden than Jax and doesn't enter in long term plans anyway.

Exactly. The Jackson/Maggette trade was basically a favor we did to move up 12 spots in the draft. It has very little repercussions on us. IF Jax/Maggette weren't traded, our future would look about the same.

Call me crazy, but I actually am excited to see Maggette on this team and see what he can bring. Certainly sounds like a guy that is more than fine with being here. We may be young, but hell, we at least figure to be fun to watch. And in the end, we can feel okay with loosing because of what we know is coming. I'm interested to see if Maggette can be that Captain type leader that we desperately need. When you look at this roster you would have to think Maggette is going to be at least in high consideration to be captain, right? I mean who else would we look to? Certainly not DJ or the rookies. Hendo could be an option, but barely has any experience. Diaw is not a leader and i'm not sure Thomas can be labeled as such either. So, Maggette for captain?

After GW left wasn't it Jax and DJ? At any rate, DJ is an obvious choice for captain at this point, not that it really matters at all.

I'm almost positive it was just Jack that was a captain. I'm not sure DJ has the type of overall persona to be a leader or captain. In fact I think Diaw showed more leadership ability last season than DJ.

I take back my tantrum at your FO. As much as I hate Maggette, you don't want to be mated to SJax at this point in his career. You got very lucky to catch a honeymoon period with him.
