Plus, Kemba can throw down in the open court. Who doesn't like a little bloke who can throw down?!?!?!

That is exciting, we've never really had a PG who could finish like Kemba seems to be able to do.

Remember that time when Felton threw down an alley oop from Knight in Felton's rookie season?

That was pretty sweet!

Comfortable doesn't win you games in the NBA. A good NBA point guard must be smart and tough.

And let's not forget that part of the reason DJ did have a successful stretch of games is because we had a ridiculously easy schedule immediately following Larry's boot out of town. After that, he pretty much reverted back to the same inconsistent spotty confidence player he's always been since entering the league.

Did DJ sleep with your girlfriend? Mother? Did you see that chinstrap bobbing in mommy's bedroom?

Reading through threads after a merge is so confusing.

Sorry Clunk, didn't realize you live in an alternative reality. What did I say about DJ that isn't true?? I guess I must have missed the memo you sent out which stated if you play like a superstar for 10 games then we must disregard the 40 or so games where he sh*ts the bed.

And apparently MJ agrees with me and not you. But that's not a surprise. :P

Ducked out at lunch time today and heard Kemba being interviewed on the radio. Didn't say too much other than:

- Feels he was born a leader and has always been a leader but in the early years he only really lead by example (diving for loose balls etc). Then when he got older, the vocal leadership just came naturally to him.

- Says he spoke with MJ and MJ kept stressing how much the Bobcats gave up in order to draft Kemba.

- Says that he and DJ will be playing a lot together and it will depend which one is hot offensively as to who will be running the point and who will be playing off the ball.

- Said the last 12 weeks have been crazy - win the NCAA title, voted MVP of the final four, go to the White House, get drafted in the top 10.

- Said that while he was measured as only 6'0" that his heart allows him to play bigger.

- Agreed with Rudy Gay who said that UConn players are the toughest players in the NCAA because they have to endure Coach Calhoun.

That was about it really. Nothing Earth shattering od anything, just thought I would share.

I didn't hear the interview but whenever he speaks he gives off a tremendous aura of confidence which is something we're going to need since we no longer have S-Jax. I'm so excited to watch him develop and improve on the things he lacks at the moment. The sky is the limit with this kid and with MJ constantly looking over his shoulder you get the feeling we got a gem here.

And MJ's track record is about as good as yours, isn't it? Kwame was such a gem, so glad MJ found him! And again the second time!

DJ was injured for several games, but you wouldn't know that because you disappear for months and months, waiting for something to happen to DJ so you can come in and act like you foretold the future.

Also, DJ's season averages aren't that bad at all. He never really "**** the bed" either. More than 6 assists, less than 2 turnovers? That's pretty good stuff from a guy passing to our anemic offense. And his 14 points a game wasn't unwelcome either. The fact is that Larry Brown didn't allow him to run the point for over thirty or so games. I don't know why you like Larry so much, he can't even get hired at the collegiate level anymore.

I like how long he was able to step once he picked up his dribble, despite his height. Sometimes short guys can't cover much distance once they pick up their dribble, so it's good to see he can.

And all you do is launch angry personal attacks against anyone with a different opinion than your own. How about we focus on the team? You disagree with me and thats fine, I don't care. But your little man angry agenda is starting to become boring. At least provide me with some quality entertainment and make me laugh.

My thread from December 29th of last year. Fools Gold

If only the organization listened to me then...

Hey what a shock, you personally attacked me in that thread too.

Stop playing the victim, man up, and actually back up your opinions for once. You're no stranger to personal attacks, and if you're so clever just get over it like a man.

Here's a quote from the first page of your thread.
Stun704 wrote:Wow battery is such a horrible poster.. this guy actually hates DJ who scored 27 points this game, and loves Larry Brown, who led this team to underachieve so much.. you must be the best troll ever

I'm not the only one who's noticed, buddy. In that thread you repeatedly ignore the influence of coaching on a player's confidence. In this, you ignore everything.

And nothing you can say will take away from the fact that on a team that was top ten in turnovers (the bad top ten) despite our slow pace, DJ excelled in that department. That's the kind of thing you want to see in a young point guard, things you won't have to reteach.

So under armor just signed Derrick Williams as well. Now they have Jennings, Williams and Walker.

Kemba presents SO much better than those two. He'll be the stand alone front man for their brand in no time.

EDIT It's a month old, sorry. I saw the 20 in the date and assumed it was posted today too.

Has another Cats rookie gotten so much attention before the season started? Did RayMay get as much pub?

It really seems like Kemba is one of those marketable guys that demands attention, which media types love to cover. Something that can really help the franchise move forward with fans and the media as one of those guys you HAVE to watch.

If his game can match his hype then he can really become something special. That's a tall order though, so we'll see
