The Edmonton Oilers have signed tough guy Ben Eager to a three-year $3.3 Million contract.
Eager spent last season with the San Jose Sharks, providing seven points and 43 penalty minutes in 34 games played.
The 27-year old left winger was drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes 23rd overall in the 2002 NHL entry draft.
He is a giant douche but he's also one tough mofo and we really need someone to protect our young guys. Our collective group of "tough guys" last year couldn't protect a warm cup of piss.

The Oilers have signed defenceman Cam Barker to a one year, $2.25 Million contract and agreed to terms with forward Darcy Hordichuk on a one-year contract.
I really like both signings. Barker's problems are all mental and maybe a change of scenery will help him out. Hordichuk is another tough guy and just an all around good guy off the ice.
