Trading KMart for Ellis is fine with me though they pretty much cancel each other out anyway, so why make the trade. I would never involve Lee or Lowry in a trade for Ellis, that would be utter stupidity and absurdity!!

However I'd argue that's it's (much) easier to surround Martin with the right players than Ellis.

Ellis needs the ball in his hands, yet is not a guy you can win with as your go-to guy. Not in my opinion at least.
His offensive game may be more complete than Martin's, but at the end of the day he's a second or third fiddle.
A scorer, who's not as efficient scoring the ball as Kevin Martin.

You need to put him next to a superstar. Preferably on a team that plays good defense and has shooters on its team.
And that's much easier said than done. Dallas, Chicago, maybe Orlando. That's about it.

Martin not only can play next to virtually every superstar, but he'd arguably even more effective than he is now, which is crazy if you think about it.

The Rockets already were 4th in offensive efficiency last year and Martin was a big reason why.
Ellis would help creating offense at the end of the game, but I can't see us being as efficient with Ellis throughout the game as we were with Martin.

I don't think Ellis is an upgrade over Martin, nor is he what we need.

We need a superstar and a quality starting center and Ellis is neither.

You got that right brotha!!

Did you just make a D&D metaphor on a basketball message board?

I'm not sure whether to call for your banning or send you a pair of my wife's panties.

If all the Rox fans want Martin...that's cool, because all the GSW fans would rather have Ellis...making it a deal neither team does...and thank heavens for that.

I don't quite get it either but it's kind of like being a kid playing cowboys and indians but with a mythical middle ages twist where there's wizards, magic powers,swords...and some dragons.
