I think Heat hate is is due to the way that Lebron and Bosh left their teams. Lebrons decision was ridiuclous, Bosh twitter antics were too. THey both owed their loyal fans better than that.

I also think people resent the fact that Lebron and Bosh led their teams on, made them believe they had a chance to resign them, when in fact they had this planned for a long time. They both should have told their GM's that they were going to leave so that the organizations could have at least got some return for them. They should have shown more loyalty.

The "victory parade celebration" the Heat staged after signing Bosh and lebron was the tipping point. That was over the top, pissed alot of people off. The Heat got the greatest player since Jordan for nothing, first Lebron rubbed it in Clevelands face with the decision, then the heat rubbed it in further with the celebration.

Sixer Fan here. just needed to say I respect the Heat organization and the talent. No doubt in my mind that Miami will win several championships sooner than later.

With that being said, I think that is spot on about Heat hate. I am one of them but like someone mentioned if you guys would have left free agency 10' with Wade&Bosh I wouldn't have much problem with what happened. it's more of I want to see Lebron James fail than any sort of hate. I respect Lebron, his game and his talents -but just not his decision and how he went about handling that last year. I.M.O. he shouldn't have did it on live TV, or go around visiting each different team's organization if he already had planned this with Wade&Bosh back in '08. Just my two cents :D

this team didn't say a peep all year and bent over backwards to kiss the ass of those old farts in Boston which they smashed and the overrated Bulls which they dismissed.

This team showed remarkable restraint for all the **** they had to take from the legions of haters.

I kind of gave up when they mocked Dirk. It's hard when trying to defend your best favorite and say... oh well.. he was mocking the media. They fed the media all year long. The media may have blown it into proportions. But what was up with having press conferences after regular season games? I'm sure if they didn't have the welcome party and didn't have press conferences, the hate wouldn't have been so large. Also LeBron kept saying sorry to Cleveland, then the media is like OH MY DID HE MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION TO GOING TO SOUTH BEACH?! Then he'd knock off his old teammates and say they weren't up for the challenge in the final moments and was glad to have players that were willing to be in those moments (clutch) with him. Then he doesn't do squat in the Finals in the clutch lol.

Well, I guess actions speak louder than words. I guess LeBron chest pounding Wade will be remembered forever in game 2 huh?

they weren't very humble at times. they thought they were going to steam roll in the Finals. Even though they won Game 3, after game 2 they were never the same. They kept talking to the media, feeding them. Even when Wade said "well america is happy now, the heat are losing". I personally was annoyed. They shouldn't have been answering to anyone. Just play basketball and then party on after winning it ALL.

LBJ and Wade gave good answers though, but during the regular season, somethings could have been avoided... heck even before the season.

I didn't like them making fun of Dirk. It was just bad taste. It wasn't even after a game they won, it was the game they lost. It angers me how silly Wade and James can be.

I like what Doc Rivers said concerning Lebron James and the media. He said something like "He responded to their taunts when he should've said, 'Go screw yourself'". James and Wade need to just shut their mouths until they win.

Oh please, they've been quiet all season long. Especially Wade has always been a true professional in public in all those years. After all the bashing they received, you can't blame them for mocking somebody as well.

LeBron hanging out with Bono = Bad PR
LeBron at a kids camp = Bad PR
LeBron giving kids money to B&G Club = Bad PR

LeBron can't do anything without getting some kind of bad PR from it. I once saw Brain Grant dunk on a group of Teens and older players at Suniland Park, one of the best moments in my life. Love it...

People are just Jealous and afraid the Heat will run the league for years. For years fans have talked about how awesome it would be if players took a pay cut to play together, but when it happens they start crying about. Oh and Cleveland sucks, good for Lebron for leaving Cleveland.

What about that time when he said the 1st round was breakfast, 2nd round lunch, 3rd dinner and finals desert? that's disrespectful

that didn't sit well with a lot of people and the opposition. Just fuel them up more right?

now there's jokes of him choking on desert lol.

This really has very little to do with the city of Miami. It would have happened like this pretty much anywhere. The only reason it being Miami might generate a tiny bit more anger in people is that Miami's fanbase is considered on of the worst in the league, so they are not deemed to "deserve" a team like this. Fair or unfair, that is the perception.

That is a minute part of the issue though.

I wouldn't use the word "quiet" to describe James and Wade. But still...Dirk? Why Dirk? Why not those punks Terry and Stevenson? They were the ones trash talking.

What's sad is that Stevenson and Terry backed up their trash talk.

I dont think anybody hates Miami. I was there for a bachelor party during the finals rooting for the Mavs in a Miami bar. Had fun drinking and partying.

Knicks fan here. Definitely do not hate the Heat for the fact they play in Miami. I could care less. If the big 3 joined up in Dallas everyone would hate them as well.

I think what pisses most non Heat fans the most is the way Lebron handled it and made a spectacle out of it. Also the "wrestling match" style introduction they had was low class as f**k.

Now that everyone has been brought up to date on the events of last season it's time to put this thread to rest.
