Pussyboy didn't want to compete for his job. We'll be better with Neuvirth and Holtby.

Dang Fish - that's just cold.

That's the problem with you have a number of good goaltenders on the roster at the same time.

But dang..."pussyboy".

I just think it's weak, Pine. Tim Thomas went into this season a Tuuka Rask's backup, then won a Vezina, Stanley Cup, and Conn Smyth.

Varly's a great talent, but if he wants to be the man he has to prove it -- and fight for it. Going home with his goalie stick between his legs doesnt sit well with me.

So should he turn down the $2-4 million per offers he's getting in the KHL to take the Caps' $1.15 million?

Unbelievable trade by McPhee. He gets a first and second for Varly when COL could have just offer-sheeted him.

I must be missing something here- this is the same Colorado Avalanche which just finished 2nd to last in the NHL, and they just traded their 1st rounder next year to us for our backup goalie?

interesting how he said the Medical Staff sucks and how its much better in Russia. He said the wizards/caps medical staff misdiagnosed his injury and as soon as he went to his Russian doctors, he became 100%

Don't like the Vokun signing.

Dealing Varly had to happen because you can't have three number one goalies. This puts us right back where we were.

I think Holtby is the best of all of them right now. Get the kid time between the pipes.

How on Earth can you not like the Vokoun signing?

He's a top-10 goalie in the NHL, and signed for a pittance without a long-term commitment.

Holtby has barely played in the AHL. There is no way you call him up so soon and expose him to the big leagues.

Vokun is a beast. I love how Philly blows it up to afford Bryzgalov and we get Vokun for 1/10th of the price.

Sports talk shows are killing the Aves for the Varlamov trade. Beat writers are getting on the horn saying how they'd be comfortable with Varlamov for a #2, but adding the 1st is insane. It'll be a lot of fun watching the Aves choke away another lousy season and have the Caps pick top 5 next year.

McPhee has already stated that Neuvirth and Holtby are the top two goalies.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Well, actually it was the day before.

So you may be right. We'll see

The five minute podcast in this article is worth a listen. Great signing.
