Safe to say Moses gets the nomination though?

Yes, so how should we work this tie-breaker, a few years ago we were doing a re-vote, but a better system should be in place, considering the same people vote again.

Can't even count the 2 wannabee voters as tiebreakers since (a) the rules said we wouldn't and (b) they split votes anyway.
Anyone on our panel not vote we can PM for the tiebreaker?

Why not use the votes from the previous round as the tiebreaker? Russell had 1 more first place vote than Kareem, so should that take presedence. How does a vote off change anything if it is the same 24 voters present?

Re: RGM Top 100 Vote Thread - #2
Why not, the only thing I'm missing out on is sleep - here's my tally for the nominations since it was also close
Nomination
Moses – 7 (GilmoreFan, Fencerregistered, JordansBulls, rravenred, TMAC4MVP, Warspite, Optimism Prime)
K Malone – 6 (Gongxi, FJS, Elgee, mysticbb, An Unbiased Fan, DavidStern)
KG – 5 (drza, Baller24, Jimmy76, Dr MJ, Sedale Threatt)
West – 4 (Dr Mufasa, Doormatt, penbeast0, Bucksfan1and2)
LBJ – 1 (ronnymac)
Oscar – 2 (Vinsanity240, SDChargers#1)
If nominations were tied ThaRegular would've been able to break it (he didn't submit a nomination) but it looks like Moses safely goes in

Coolness on the counting! We're also past closing time for the voting.
Looks like Kareem is a shoo-in for #3, which I'm OK with, given that the doubts about the greatness of his defense still leave him ahead in that regard vs. Magic or Bird (or Shaq).
As for Kareem over Wilt -- he won more, and didn't have the seriously negative intangibles Wilt had for big parts of his career.

Russell- 4
Wilt got his lunch stolen, Warspite baked him cookies when he got home and said it's ok, grandma still loves you

I have a feeling Bird may drop out of the top 6 this year.
Honestly, when it comes to spots 2-5 I can't complain about the ordering. I believe Kareem is #2 obviously, but it's not super upsetting for me to see Russell over him. Kareem should get #3 pretty easily. It will be interesting to see who goes #4 (Magic or Wilt). Wilt's rep has suffered on these boards in recent years. We shall see.
Anyway, I am looking forward to the #3 thread.
And better late than never, I want to thank Baller and Beast for helping put this all together (and everyone for participating). This is a fantastic way to learn more about the game (especially the older generational players) and discuss basketball history, and am happy and proud to be part of it.
Congrats to Russell for winning the first true hard fought battle of the top 100 list

At the moment, I'm leaning to Magic as #4 over Wilt. 9 straight years as top 3 for MVP, vs. 7 overall for Wilt (who however had 9 top 4 and 10 top 5, as well as 1 more actual MVP). More rings. At least as transformational, even if part of the transformation was not getting called for palming the dribble. Huge advantage in intangibles, although Wilt had a huge advantage in unquantifiable on-court defense.
Kareem, by the way, had 13 top 4 finishes for MVP and 15 in the top 5.

Yes, that's correct count.
