I don't agree. It was equally about both. Casspi is a good player and a good fit here. They are expecting him to contribute and space the floor for Kyrie. PIck or not they weren't going to trade Hickson without getting someone who can play.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

I agree with this completely. If the trade was about the pick, then what is up with all the protection?
Well at least we're not Detroit!

Probably can't read too much into it, but Sacramento did go 9-9 to close the season.

Sacto is the ultimate boom or bust team next year. I would believe anything from a "good bye Sacramento" feel good playoff run to 15 wins and stories about Cousins getting into fist fights in the locker room.

As far as I know, Casspi can only do two things: rebound and corner threes.

Looks like he had a pretty good drive and dunk in that video so obviously he can do more things. Really I don't care if Casspi is good or not, getting rid of Hickson is addition by subtraction.

Actually coming from a Kings fan who has watched pretty much every game the last few seasons I can tell you those are the only things he can do consistently. He never penetrates or ball handles effectively and is a complete liability against any quick, slashing 2 or 3 on defense. Also, when he has off games and is not shooting well there is little positive that he brings to the court.

Although I agree the system might not have been ideal for Omri, he lost his position and playing time to Donte freaking Greene. Enough said.
