Its on the WireTap:

76ers Interested In Trading Speights
Jul 03, 2011 12:53 PM EDT

When the NBA offseason begins following resolution of their collective bargaining agreement, the 76ers will be interested in trading Marreese Speights.

Speights hasn't meshed well within the style of Doug Collins.

If the team can trade Speights, they would like to use their free agent money to sign a solid, power big to start at center.

Spencer Hawes, who will be a restricted free agent, is considered a backup.

Ehh people on this board only want Speights because he schooled us in one Pre-Season game. Other than that he's done nothing except airball dunks.

Thanks for he link - I missed that. I recall Philly fans saying 'Reese was sort of un-bright and had an attitude problem. I liked what I saw, limited as it was to maybe a dozen games over a couple years. I'm sure he'd look good playing with Nash -

makes you realize just how special Amar'e was, doesn't' it?

I just was entering the same question.
Of course Speights is not the final solution to all our problems, but he could be a good help if we keep Gortat.
Would Philly Take López for Speights?
I believe it is a low risk good-for-both parts exchange.

They get a player that will go to live near home, near his brother and family and could try a new beginning. Also, 7 ft players are not in abundance.

We get a 6.10 player who can play inside, does not mind to do the dirty work and can play the 4 an 5 for 5 minutes or for 30. Whatever situation would be better for him than the current one in Philly.

I just believe the 76ers should throw in some 2nd rd pick or any other interesting thing.

I'd love it straight up - asking for anything to go with Speights is ... adding insult to injury
