transfermarkt (dot) de - German but also friendly to English speaking folks

On a side note, Kaiserslautern has nabbed German U21 striker Richard Sukuta-Pasu and Israeli international Gil Vermouth, an offensive midfielder. As we already lost Moravek, Hoffer and Lakic to Schalke, Frankfurt and Wolfsburg respectively, this was really necessary.

I just hope that the transfer of Itay Shechter - Israeli national striker - will be finalised soon. We also have two equally good young goalies, Trapp and Sippel, maybe Sippel - who is unhappy with his backup role - can be also made into $$$ (would be a bit of a pity, I like him).

Projected squad:
Trapp - Dick, Abel, Rodnei, Jessen - Tiffert, Petsos, Vermouth, de Wit (?) - Sukuta-Pasu, (Shechter??)

Frings is going to Toronto. Klinsmann apparently played a major role getting him to sign there.

Yeah, but he picked the wrong club.

On the topic of rejoining players with their old managers: I'm pissed if Riether goes to Cologne for cheap. Come back to Freiburg if you wanna leave Wolfsburg. He and Schwaab are the only guys I truely regret loosing over the years (well, and perhaps Aogo, but he wouldn't be the same player he is today if he stayed in Freiburg. He really benefitted from the change of scenery).

I agree that Wolfsburg is the wrong club. Can't blame the player for getting a last big paycheck, though.

Do we keep this as our 2011/12 thread or should I make a new one?

I don't mind keeping this one, but if you want an all new and shiny one, go for it.

If you are going to do that you might as well make a new thread so everyone will see it.

LOOOOOOOOLLL three players of my club, 1. FC Kaiserslautern, have been busted for drunk driving, hit-and-run with another car and visiting a bordello. The players in question are Sippel, Petsos and Ilicevic.

Comment: morals aside, are wages in KL so low that they cannot even afford an effing taxi?!??

Riether to Cologne is official. Good transfer for them. Finke now has best pupil back with him, right together with Tanko and Sanou.

Will Wolfsburg bounce back next season? Kinda doubt it. Their squad looks average at best (Diego?) and Magath seems to have lost his edge. Could be a rough season for them.

Kjaer is rumored to leave as well. That might be addition by subtraction, though. Haven't been very impressed with Kjaer last season.

I wonder where Vidal will go.

Don't think there's a chance he stays in Leverkusen after stating he wants out. :dontknow:

Hope he stays in the Bundesliga even if Bayern Munich is his new club then. I just like him as a player. He's a freakin beast.

Why do Bayern fans hate Neur? I'm really happy Bayern finally got a world class goalie and all the fans can do is complain? is it because he mocked kahn's celebration after Schalke beat Bayern?

It's an expectable reaction. People in Bayern wear Lederhosen. They can't be alright.

Salihamidzic is already out with a broken arm. Now that sucks.

Neuer had ties to the hooligans of Schalke. He was a local boy, went to the games as a kid and passed through their youth ranks. He said that he'll always be blue at heart.
There are a few Bayern hooligans who don't care about the player Neuer but hate the fact that they have to cheer for a die hard Schalke fan.

It's politics and it's quite stupid... but what do you expect from a bunch of hooligans.

That makes sense I guess, I'm sure with a couple of games like he had against Man U all will be forgotten.

I don't get the hate either. Heck, a decade ago they cheered for Jens Jeremies, too even though he had played for 1860 before.

Speaking of Jens Jeremies, anyone remember him? What a dude!

Man, Jeremies was a BEAST. Strong header, fierce tackler, huge heart, and that flying Braveheart hair. You need Gattuso-esque guys like him to win!

BTW: Munich ultras have not forgotten one particular Neuer action. When he won vs Bayern as a Schalke player, Neuer mocked Oliver Kahn's victory dance (ripping the corner flag out and swinging it like a sword). Also, the ultras also have a man crush on Thomas Kraft, the guy he replaces.
