ESPN.com - The Winnipeg Jets have signed captain Andrew Ladd to a five-year contract extension worth $22M, according to an ESPN.com report

Ladd agreed to the deal Tuesday, a few hours before he was eligible to file for salary arbitration.

The Jets really needed to bring him back and I think they got a pretty good deal for. His cap hit is going 4.4 a season and that's pretty reasonable for Ladd.

Oh, it's a 5 year deal? I had read it was a 4 year deal on Twitter, so I was wondering why the hell the Jets would give him 5.5 a year...
