Assuming that all teams' rosters were cleared and there was a draft with the Hawks having the 22nd pick, who would you guys pick? The following players would be unavailable. The draft order btw is based on attendance figures.

Dallas: Durant
Miami: Griffin
New York: Wall
Utah: Wade
LA Lakers: Deron Williams
Orlando: Paul
Golden State: Anthony
Boston: Bryant
San Antonio: Nowitzki
OKC: Westbrook
LA Clippers: Love
Phoenix: Curry
Denver: Aldridge
Washington: Rondo
Detroit: Irving
Toronto: Bogut
Houston: Hayes
Charlotte: Stoudemire

Yeah age is certainly a factor (the draft isn't for just one season). Atlanta will have the 9th pick in the 2nd round (it's a snake draft).

Smith and then I'd stack the deck with defensive C snag a PG and then fill in the gaps at PF (2nd round) and SG

I take Rudy Gay and hope Noah makes it to the 9 pick in round 2.

well since all the stars are gone, I say we get a center..... Marc Gasol or Brook Lopez. I say Lopez

Bosh, Eric Gordon, Marc Gasol, Horford, Favors, Cousins, McGee, Derrick Williams, Granger.
i guess i would take Bosh and try to draft Chandler, or Nene, or Ibaka , or McGee, or Favors, or Noah, or Kanter in the 2nd round.
then third round get a SG like Wesley Matthews or Nick Young.

I think the best three remaining would be Smith, Horford, and Cousins.
I think I'd take Cousins for his upside and because he's a C

id take smith then hope a decent C like Noah is left at the next pic.
since all the big stars are gone, it seems silly to take perimeter players since youll be able to get the jamal crawfords of the league late.

haha yes we're very loyal...and none of us took it seriously...
i'm kind of regretting that now because it seems like a fun game, i personally thought he was just doing a one round thing because he was bored

Re: starting from scratch draft (22th pick)
22 Hawks Bosh
23 Bucks Horford
24 Wolves Marc Gasol
25 76ers Tyreke
26 Hornets Monta
27 Griz Gay
28 Nets Andrew Bynum
29 Kings Brook Lopez
30 Pacers Eric Gordon
i think the draft order for the second and third round should be inverted so that it is fair, talent wise.
31 Pacers Noah
32 Kings Josh Smith
33 Nets Scola
34 Griz Nene
35 Hornets Iguodala
36 76ers Ibaka
37 Wolves Joe Johnson
38 Bucks Bargnani
39 Hawks McGee
23 Bucks Horford

Re: starting from scratch draft (22th pick)
I love Al but I'm going with Cousins: Horford is 25 years old and in his prime yes, but Cousins is only turning 21 years old, and plays center. I think we should get the Center and start building around him while he's young.

ATL Boy hands Cousins the keys to franchise > Cousins sticks ATL Boy in the back of a trunk and holds him hostage.

on one hand you have situations like Vick and Plex, and on the other hand you have Randy Moss.
i want to give Cousins the benefit of the doubt...... but going with Horford, or Bosh, or Smith is good too.

asdfgh wrote:Hey guys. I'm continuing this draft and I need your help again. We're at the 38th pick now and it's the Bucks' turn. I gave you Horford in the first round because that was the first vote I got, even though most of you seemed to prefer Favors. Players' contracts should not be a factor in your decision, but their age should be. The following players are unavailable and remember that you already have Horford on the team.

Portland: James
Cleveland: Howard

Milwaukee: Horford, Favors
Minnesota: Gordon, Gay
Philadelphia: Bosh, Bynum
New Orleans: Derrick Williams, T. Chandler
Memphis: P. Gasol, M. Gasol
NJ: Harden, Lopez
Sacramento: Randolph, Cousins
Indiana: Granger, Oden
I can't beleive that Favors, Gasol, Granger, Oden, Chandler, and Gay went ahead of Noah.
Noah or McGee would be a good pick for the Hawks, i think McGee has the capability to one day be just as good a Chandler and be able to contain Dwight, but Noah is a proven guy who can contribute on a contender. it would be hard to pass up on McGee, but i would take Noah here.
i'm also surprised that Josh Smith, Horford, and Eric Gordon when ahead of Bosh. Hawks should have taken Bosh instead of Smith, because his offense would have been a nice compliment to Noah's, McGee, Chandler's, or Favor's defense, but Smith and Noah give the Hawks alot of defense (as good as Smith/Horford). Hawks need some offense and should to get Nick Young, Harden, or Wesley Matthews in the 3rd round.

Re: starting from scratch draft (22th pick)
If we took Gay, we would be a better looking team by then Adding Noah at 39 and maybe grab some shooters in the later rounds at the 2 guard. You could have your offensive go to guy and interior presence solidified by now, but still, Noah/Smith is a very stacked defensive front court. Energy & athletic duo. Have to snag Jrue Holiday or Monta Ellis in the next round unless iggy is sitting there.
I think the wolves have the best looking team if they can get Perkins in round 3.
