Kobe wasn't the reason why we lost that series. Even though Dirk was epic the entire playoff run, Pau did a horrible job guarding him. I would even argue that Pau's lack of defense on Dirk was more crucial than his lack of offense.

Of people to blame for the Dallas series, Kobe is pretty low on the list. Not that it matters, since Dallas was just the better team, and ultimately the best when it was all said and done.

This is an unpopular sentiment around here, but what Kobe said isn't any different than the BS Shaq used to spew, which used to get the Kobe jocker wing of Laker fans all pissy.

Kobe is very difficult to force into action when he doesn't want to do something.

care to prove that with links where Shaq spewed similar "bs"?

the sentiment is unpopular with "Kobe jocker wing of Lakers fans" because he was right. He didn't "quit, or shot us out of the game". he battled and other Lakers players didn't show up.

I'll copy and paste it, watch the video.:

During Dallas' 17-4 run Kobe shot only TWO TIMES. He made one and missed the second. He fed Bynum inside to get our other bucket during dallas' run.

When Lakers still had a 8 point lead we fed Marc's sister 3 times in a row.

- First time he grabbed the ball way outside where he should be (thats what irritates me the most about Gasol, btw. Not working for the position) and committed a turnover
- then tried to get an assist with a lousy pass for artest. Another turnover.
- then he caught the ball in a good position but kicked it back to Kobe to get an assist on a contested 3-pointer. Kobe dribbled and gave Artest a wide open 3-pointer with time to even do the math about the shot. He missed (that's what he does best.

Oh, but he doesn't create for others, yeh I know...

Btw, for gods sake, look at the way he defended Kidd's PnR with Nowitzki @0:40. That was disgusting. He was in slow mo there. Didn't stop Kidd nor rotated back to at least pretend to bother Dirk's shot.

So yeh, during dallas kobe shot twice, scored once. He also fed bynum on the post and he worked to get his basket on the paint. And we Fed gasol but he didn't want to shoot and didn't fought for the position.

But Kobe wouldn't let us lose that way. He tried to bail lakers out after Phil FINALLY took a time out (he let we lose a 16 points lead before calling a timeout ffs!)

Here's the rest of the 3rd quarter after our lead ended:

But the bspn parrots wanted him to feed gasoft, lol.

Until the game 3 happened and Phil embarrassed marc's sister in front of the whole world then the parrots stopped their stupid theories that Kobe cost us the series.

The end of that was the Kobe show. At that point I thought we were destined for the title. He looked that good. Playing D, playing SMART. WTF happened to everyone else. When Kobe gets hot I wish we would crash the boards Kevin Love style and get the easy put backs. It would be either a Kobe make or Bynum, Gasol or LO make.

I don't like when the rest of the Lakers watch Kobe do work instead of rebounding.
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!
