Beat me to it. lol

Anyways, I would love, love to see Stann knock out Chael, but that would mean no Anderson rematch.

This one is going to be a war and I wonder where Chael will find inspiration to insult a class-act
All-American former US soldier? How Chael, how?! lol

i think Chael will be respectful this time around. and i think he'll take this one too. stann doesn't have the strongest tdd and Chael is the best in the business. Sonnen via UD.

I want to see Chael go Sgt. Slaughter and go turncoat against America. That would be hilarious.

I agree, don't see much if any trash talk for this fight from Sonnen. I also think Sonnen wins this fight.

Stann does seem impossible for Sonnen to hate on, but I'll believe he has a respectful side when I see it. I'm sure we'll hear something like "He's going to wish he was still in Iraq."

Weird fight.

Would have preferred Stann vs. Munoz, and Chael vs. Palhares or someone like that.

Yeah, not sure where the **** talking will come from on this one, but I'm sure Chael will come up with something.

Call me un-American and everything, and I don't like it that I feel this way, but I can't stand Brian Stann. IDK, I just have this wierd feeling, and maybe it's through personal experience, that soldiers get some automatic love even if they are total jackass (not saying Stann is.). If he's a great guy then cool, but I just get tired of the whole "American Hero" stuff, for him and everyone else.

I don't like the GI Joe angle either, it's kitschy.

They may go overboard with that stuff, but Stann's got the credentials and he seems to be a good guy so it doesn't bother me.

There might not be a fighter I root against more than Brian Stann.

All I'm saying is I know plenty of Marines or Army vets who are total wastoids and dickbags. One of my best friends brother is an Iraqi vet with TWO Purple Hearts who is a worthless drunk and gets so out of hand his brother had to move out because he was afraid of his brother's drunken rages. I know countless Marines who think because of their status as a Marine they can do whatever they want and treat people how that way.

Where I come from and how I grew up, respect is earned from what kind of person you are and how you treat people, not your job or your accomplishments.

Maybe so, but that's the reason no one wants to scrap with those guys, they are wired up very differently.

Stann clearly has been put through the ringer and he just has a demeanor of destruction. (IMO)

Remember the movie Harsh Times with Christian Bale? Maybe a bit like that for your buddy's brother?

That's how it should be, but it's not how the world works.

Well you shouldn't assume Stann is a "dickbag" just because he was a Marine. There are more honorable men in the military than the people you're describing.

I wasn't at all, and I agree with you. I was just pointing out that just because someone is a soldier, doesn't make them a great person or worthy of your respect.

Yea my thoughts exactly.

He conveniently forgot Rampage, Shogun and Hendo when he said no Pride guys were successful in the US.

And why isn't the Machida fight happening? Lyoto wants it and Sonnen has been talking a lot of smack..

I was curious about that, is Chael going up or Lyoto going down or Catchweight?
