I doubt we get anything for 2011. 2012 is the year they may add. But I sure hope they play some games. We need to know more about what we have already.
It is so hard to gauge this team right now. They have so many young players. A roster full of them.
Then, they are likely to add even more in 2012. And there will be that 2012 FA class.
Obviously there is D Howard with a player option in 2012
Lewis will be in his last year of his contract in 2012 so you would hope they can move him as an expiring or buy him out. They will need to replace that vet presence though. McGee would be in his last year with a qualifying offer of 3.5M
Wall/Craw/Mack
Nick
Of all the rest of the players on the team, honestly, I could see any of them moved or keeping anyone of them as complement pieces. Jan is no sure thing as a starter but I would be pretty sure he has enough to back up SF and maybe PF. You would have to think they keep Singleton because of he D. But when you read down that list, all I see is back ups except maybe Dray, but we all know there are questions about Dray. And of course there a huge questions about McGee.
Dray, McGee, Booker, Singleton, Jan, Seraphin, Hamady
If they dont play any games at all this year, that will make picking who stays or who goes a little harder.
Maybe they add a Perry-Jones at PF. But right now, I only see two starters on this team. The rest are a lots of players who down the road might be able to grow into starters on a good team, but right now, they are only back ups. All these guys have a lot to prove.
Maybe they luck into a D Howard. I could see Dray and McGee getting moved to make that happen.
Wall/Craw/Mack
Nick/Craw
Jan/Singleton
P Jones/Booker/Seraphin
Howard/Seraphin/Hamady
It is pretty unlikely they keep all these young players. Most good teams have players who are in years 4 or 5 plus.
But it is a crap shoot. Who knows what while happen between now and then.

Re: 2012 Team Free Agents
Here is a preliminary list of 2012 NBA URFA:
Dwight Howard
Andrew Bynum
Derron Williams
Chris Paul
Gerald Wallace
Elton Brand
RFA will include:
Derrick Rose
Rudy Fernandez
Roy Hibbert
Michael Beasley
Kevin Love
Brook Lopez
Russell Westbrook
Robin Lopez
Nicolas Batum
JJ Hickson
Who can we expect might be on a list of potential cap casualties if there is a hard cap with Amnesty?
Is Blake Griffin a RFA in 2013 and an URFA in 2014. I could honestly see him being a future addition more than I could Dwight. I could also see DeMarcus Cousins coming back to play with Wall.
Imagine the length of McGee at C, Cousins at PF, Singleton and Vesely at SF, Wall at PG and Young at SG. I don't think that looks like a winning team however. Too much immaturity, even with Wall, Vesely and Singleton.

oh. Could it be. KG is UFA in 2012. I think Flip my offer EG just about anything he wants if he can be reunited with KG. KG would be 37 at that point and had for cheap price. Should be interesting to see what Boston does. You would think they go into tank mode and try to get some high picks. They had their boom so it is time to bust and rebuild.

I wonder if RA and KG stick around for cheap and finish out their careers or if they become title chasers in their final few years.
Not that I really think we would go after KG but if Flip is still here, it could get interesting.
Reading over that list, I see a lot of known names that will be wrapping up their careers soon who are in that late 30's age. Seems like the NBA is going to be going through on of those turnover stages. These guys are going to lose one of their last years in a strike year.
But here is what caught my eye.
David West could be a nice add. UFA
Brook Lopez RFA
Anthony Randolph RFA
Andrew Bynum FA
T Chandler could be a nice add by then if he rolls over to 2012. UFA But Dallas is in title mode.

McGee is list #15 on the list here. Stacked up against the younger center who could be in their productive year come 2012, McGee still stands a chance of being a good player but looking at that list, I would take Lopez if it was reasonable to get him. Bynum is interesting as a UFA in 2012.
Not playing this next season would really have us waiting to find out of McGee can ever be the answer. But not playing in 2010 would put the Wiz in the drivers set to sign him cheaper in his UFA 2012 year. Could we get that lucky ? This strike year could help more than is hurts in a lot of ways.
