Mickael Pietrus: Kobe told me he wants me on the Lakers

French publication L’Equipe via Hoopshype shows that Pietrus said Kobe wants Pietrus on the Lakers. He's at around 5.4 mil for next season. I personally would like to have him. My opinion is that he is a great 3 pt shooter and when he gets hot, he can change a game like that. % wise not the greatest but he hits so many dagger 3's.. like a taller fisher. he defends the wing position really well also.

PHX obviously dont love him and they got dudley, VC, childress, potentially Ghill. ya'll want him? and what do you think could get a deal done altho we are division rivals?

Didn't he hit pau during the finals? it would be cool if we got him though.

Once again folks...Living here in Orlando ( I like Orlando, great city! Slow as kcuf, but still a nice clean city!), I get to see ALOT of Magic games and Pietrus was well-liked around these parts. He started a lot of games at one point until he hurt his thumb/wrist. Started 25 games 08-09 and 24 the following season and shot about 40% from long range. So he was real good. He and Matt Barnes were GREAT together in 2009-2010 season! Van Gundy ALWAYS put him up against the other team’s best shooter. With him and Barnes coming off the bench, we won’t miss Shannon. We wouldn’t have miss him anyway! Great pick up if we can get him. Yall saw what they did to our Lakers every damn year when the P&G came to Mickeytown!

I remember there was friction between the two, but so what? Peace locked up with Kobe and look where he is, Matt tried to punk Kobe and look where he is, I wouldn't mind Pietrus here.

He'd have to start though, meaning they'd better move Artest to the bench.

Shannon made around 2 million. Pietrus makes over 5 million. Lakers have no money to go that high. Plus the Lakers might have to dump others to get to whatever the new cap is at.

Only way we get Pietrus (which would be fine with me as he plays D, can shoot the 3 and is quite athletic) is through a trade ... something like Odom for Pietrus and Robin Lopez or Artest for Pietrus and a re-signed Grant Hill or VC ... maybe even an Odom for Pietrus and Hakim Warrick plus a future pick and cash? I wouldn't do any of the Odom deals but would consider the Artest deal ... love to see a Walton, Blake and picks for Pietrus and Childress deal or even just a Walton and a couple second round picks for Childress deal.

I used to like air france's game, like someone here mentioned already, he was a poor man's iguodala. pietrus can do a little bit of every thing but he was too inconsistent. I thought he was going to keep improving and really become a borderline allstar player, but as time goes on his game especially his jumper have gotten worse. I wouldn't mind him on the team esp if we can get him for cheap, but there are players out there who would be better options for this team.

i dont see the parallels between pietrus and iguodala. pietrus is a 3 pt shooter, iguodala is a poor jump shooter. i believe iguodala is the much better player overall but pietrus being a poor man's iguodala just doesnt make sense. iguodala is a playmaking 3, pietrus hardly handles the ball. they both jump high? is that the parallel?

one of the dumbest players ever.

He travels atleast once every game and shot threes when he should drive more.

Yeah, he can get hot, but thats once out of every 20 game at best. Dont hold your breath waiting....
