They had a terrible tactical gameplan and Mancienne looked way out of position. There were no forwards to link up with as Pearce was encouraging the long ball(I could hear it clearly.) Terrible to watch the ball get hoofed to tiny Rose over and over again.

Well I could say Welbeck and Sturridge were the only reason they managed to score any goal they did.

They bypassed the midfield because the midfield was total crap for 2 whole games. Henderson just dug himself a hole to hide and Mancinne showed up with rocks for feet.

Watch this video to see how they distributed to the flanks and even made runs right through the opposition's midfield.

I am with Slava here. Every single English midfielder (including Henderson) SUCKED. It wasn't just Mancienne either. Jones and Smalling definitely looked better on the ball than the crap England had at midfield.

It is no surprise Mancienne sucked in midfield. He's been a defender for most of his career, everything about his game is defensive, expecting him to be part of a midfield without any creative players is just asking for trouble. It would only have worked if the midfield also included Wilshere.

But I think people have already realised that Stuart Pearce is the typical England manager (crap) but have given up hope for someone a bit more dynamic take up the role. He's also quite popular with the FA, which makes it difficult.

I'm still anxious about Chelsea, we made 2 desperate January signings, one of a player nobody though we needed (Torres) and one for a player I thought we did (Luiz).

We still need pace on the flanks, and a creative midfielder - Sneijder would be perfect, as would someone like Bale and/or Krasic, or even James Rodriguez from Porto if AVB brings him over.

But it's always the same. Arsenal still need to replace Patrick Vieira and Tony Adams/Sol Campbell, critics have been saying the same for the best part of a decade. Wenger should be out there buying a guy like Moussa Sissoko from Toulouse, Mahamadou Sakho from PSG, Steve Mandanda from Marseille (fitting the French theme nicely...), but Arsene seems more content on bringing his own flops through.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

The Spurs have rejected the offer. Seem to be holding for 40 million sterling.

Hearing reports on Talksport this morning that United are lining up a £35m bid for Wesley Sneijder, although just seen Inter's Technical Director Marco Branca deny he's being sold.

Any yeah that's pretty funny about Joey Barton. Reminds me of when Snoop Dogg wasn't allowed over here a few years ago.

Hopefully they have better sources in Italy. Big boost for the premier league if he does come though, especially with all the stars either aging or looking to leave the league.

Other Prem teams are questioning the legitimacy of Man City's stadium sponsorship. Their deal is worth 40m a year for ten years, compared to the 6.6m a year for 15 years that Arsenal got back in 2004. Many people (correctly, IMO) pointing out that there is no way the market has inflated that much in the last 7 years, and that given the associations between Etihad and the consortium who own City, this just seems like them trying to circumvent UEFA's financial fair play rules.
