Bobcats All Time Trivia Thread
Ok guys, in an attempt to fill in the gap of what will be a very long, boring summer when it comes to having no NBA hoops we thought it might be fun to have an ongoing Bobcats trivia thread. Rules are pretty simple.
A poster posts a question about the Bobcats. The next posters answers it and then asks a question of their own.
Try not to Google the answers - work off memory. That said, don't make the questions TOO hard (like what is the full, correct spelling of Okafor's name!!).
Enjoy!

Yeah, JB is who I was going for. Not sure if any players beat him to it.

If we're talking players, I want to say Eddie House or J Rich. I'm sure there have been a few over the years.

^^ What's his face who tried to teach all of our guys how to shoot FT's and always would visibly be breathing through his mouth and have the same facial expression 24x7 and seemed to last through like all our coaching regimes... (does that count? lol)
In our first ever pre-season game, someone hit a half court shot to send it into OT. Who was it?

Re: Bobcats All Time Trivia Thread
^ Oh yeah. I almost forgot Tamar Slay even existed. I wonder which former Soviet Block state he's playing in now.
BB was also really high on Theron Smith who was a talented player but lacked a jumper and also, if i recall, had bad knees.
I couple things from year one that bothered me:
#1, I didnt understand why they didnt keep Loren Woods for their third string center instead of Sampson.
#2, I really wanted them to take a flyer on Rodney White who I think Denver had left exposed in the expansion draft. The guy was an F'n moron but was immensely talented. Its not that I had terribly lofty expectations for him, but rather just thought he would have been a better SF selection than Theron Smith. In hindsight, its unlikely that anything would have altered the eventual fate of White's NBA career but at the time, it seemed plausable the influence of BB and Steve Smith might have helped him see the light.
More trivia:
In their inaugural season, the Bobcats traded two second round picks to the Lakers for Kareem Rush, who they hoped would serve as an offensive threat for them but he amounted to nothing more than a poor defending, sub 40% volume shooter who clashed with BB.
What notable PF did the Laker's select in 2005 with the pick we sent them?
He's still in the league and has a reputation as an energy guy/defender/shot blocker.

It has to be Turiaf; I know he played for the Lakers and I know we sent LA two 2nd rounders for Kareem Rush so that was a long time ago.
Which current Atlanta Hawks member was an expansion draft pick back in 2004?

I was thinking of another guy; Gary something. His name came to mind because I was watching a WNBA game one time and it was brought up. Think he coached until Larry Brown came.
Don't know if he was the first hired but the TV said like 2004-2007.
