Tyson To Miami?

Post#1 » by Dezmondballins3 » Tue Jul 12, 2011 11:53 pm

Yesterday on Sports Nation (on ESPN) free agent Tyson Chandler said when asked about Lebron's famous "not one, not two, now three, not four, not five, not six, not seven" quote he said " quote Tyson replied, " Going to happen. They (Miami Heat) are to talented not to win." He then said he doesn't know how much they will win but thinks they will win at-least one. Lastly in last moments on the show they asked him about his future. He simply replied "Champ".

Working on Links if i can find one.

No chance, there's no way to pay him unless we trade one of the Big 3 to make it a more "complete" roster (which would likely be Bosh). Even if there was a way, with his injury history it would be too risky to give up players for him.

Was he born in Miami?
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

where in his statements does it point to him joining forces with the heat? that's a lot of speculation on the op's part. this doesn't seem threadworthy...

He already did.

Howard signs with the Miami Heat for the minimum

No way do you trade Chris Bosh for him period end of discussion. I dont know that I would trade Mike Miller for him even if the salaries matched, ok I probably would.

I dont know to me he is the enemy. I had a hard enough time excepting Lebron here. Bosh or Miller they were not like right in are face. Lebron and the cavs were battling. This is just for me I cant speak for others but there was always this thing were I felt Dwayne never got the attention he deserved as to me he should of been mentioned as one of the very best in the league. To me he had a bigger impact on the heat than lebron or carmelo had for there teams especially early on. James had way to much hype and melo and even bosh coming in that year that Dwayne never had a chance to get the recognition he deserved. The next few Years I honestly thought other than Kobe there was not a better player in the world than Dwayne, but I guess everyone has an opinion.

AND MINE IS GET THIS DARN LOCKOUT DONE !! ITS KILLING ME, NO FOOTBALL NO BASKETBALL

MAN CANNOT SURVIVE ON BASEBALL & GOLF, TENNIS ETC. PLEASE END IT !

It's pretty simple really. On the first day of free agency, if the MLE exists, you offer a full MLE deal (with opt out after 3rd year, when Bird rights are attained and they can ink a make-up deal) to:

- Tyson Chandler
- Nene
- Samuel Dalembert

The first to say "yes" is your new center. If they all sign elsewhere, then that day you try a short term, portion-of-MLE deal to the next tier, which sadly consists of just:

- Jeff Foster

If he says no, then you offer even smaller deals (near-minimum or even minimum) to the next tier.

- Joel Przbilla
- Kwame Brown
- Dan Gadzuric
- Ben Wallace
- Kurt Thomas
- Aaron Gray
- Erick Dampier

If you still don't have a new C, then its time to get creative. Or if you landed one of the above an a minimum deal, you still have the full MLE with which to get creative. Offer a full MLE deal with a 3-year opt-out to restricted free agent ...

- DeAndre Jordan

Clippers are 95% sure to match. But it only costs you 7 days of waiting for that 5% chance of getting him. When that doesn't work, you try a slightly lesser (but still substantial) deal to restricted free agent ...

- Spencer Hawes

There's a good chance Philly doesn't match. Hawes isn't all that, but at age 23 would already be the most skilled 7-footer we've had in a while. Looks like Philly are looking to cut costs for new ownership (see Iggy rumors) and they're also not too hot about Hawes (see 1st round pick and Kaman rumors).

Regardless of what happens above, I believe you also offer a 2-year minimum deal to the following, and let him compete for a spot in camp:

- Eddy Curry

OK, maybe the process of getting us a new C or two isn't so "simple" after all. But there is a logic to the process based on tiers, and there's no need to chase just Dalembert or just Nene while ignoring all others.

I say we go with Eddy Curry and Troy Murphy as stop gaps maybe something better comes up during the season or next year, I would rather focus our energy on upgrading our PG position, also focusing on developing Pittman and giving him all the minutes we can, and see what happens with him, also just pray that everyone stays healthy, and are our studs figure out even a better way to work together

Plus finding a solid center a la Dalembert is so much more important.

Yeah, I can live with Chalmers/Cole and even House if he gets it going with his 3's.

Cole was shooting 34% last year. He is going to need to improve that.

Edit.. then Again Chalmers shot 35 in his only year of college.

No Tyson though lol

His FG% was 43.9

Unless you're talking about his 3 pt. FG%. Which isn't all that bad.
