Build-A-Team-Playoffs! [DRAFT ORDER ON PAGE 2!]

Overview:

Build-A-Team-Playoffs is a 16 player trade-and-transactions-roster-building-game-experiment.

The game begins with a 12 round draft in which players assemble their rosters by selecting NBA players from the 2010-2011 season for their squad (keep in mind when drafting that there is a $80 million hard cap in place but no minimum team salary that must be met).

After the draft has been completed there will be a short trading period in which teams can negotiate trades with one another (salaries do not have to match in trades, and draft picks or players may also be traded during the draft).

Once final rosters have been compiled a playoff style tournament (5-5-5-7) will commence. After every 2 games that are simulated boxscores from respective matches will be posted and players will be given the opportunity to adjust their lineups.

The last team left standing will be crowned the winner of Build-A-Team-Playoffs!

Are we creating teams from scratch or taking real franchises? If it's real franchises then I'll take the Jazz.

Basically there are 16 players who each get to draft 12 NBA players. Then I simulate games with everyone's hypothetical rosters to see who the winner is.

That's it.

You can use real team names if you want, but the team you choose doesn't matter so I figured go ahead and make up a team name if you want...

How much time will it take up, I mean you all seem completely nuts hahaha

Stuff it im in, my team name will be

Deporto Immigranti

I take it, the whole 12 players thing is like a draft? if so when is it, youll need to give me plenty of warning because of the time difference for me being in Northern Ireland

The draft will take some time to complete but after that there's not much work any of the players have to put in, it's just up to me to simulate games and post boxscores.

The draft isn't a live-draft per say it's conducted on the build-a-team forums.

Basically when it's your turn to pick you make a post on the forums saying who you picked and then the next person is up. If you take too long to make your pick the people scheduled to pick after you can begin drafting players so that's the biggest incentive to making your pick in the allotted time that you have.
