Dwyane Wade $15,691,000

Lets get this thing started with a bang! Wade is a top 3-4 player and we are lucky to acquire him. His defensive tenacity and ability to take over games is legendary and a defensive supporting cast of Felton/Wallace/Batum/Oden/Camby should be enough to do damage in the west.

OKC and CHI have reached an agreement...

Russel Westbrook $5,082,416
Serge Ibaka $1,288,200
2012 2nd/2013 1st

for

Derrik Rose $6,993,708

don't need the math since OKC is under the cap enough to absorb the difference

OKC does this to bring in the league MVP. We hate to lose Ibaka but feel we can replace him in FA and the upgrade to Rose balances out his loss.

OKC accept

CHI outgoing;
Carlos Boozer $13,500,000

Boozer was injured most of last season, when healthy he is a lock for 20/10. He has a great post game and a solid mid range game, the only thing lacking in his game is defense. But we believe Oden can cover for him there.

The Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder have a blockbuster deal to announce.

The Clippers Receive:
PG Eric Maynor ($1,516,680)
SG Thabo Sefolosha ($3,550,000)
C Kendrick Perkins ($7,347,376)
C Cole Aldrich ($2,286,000)
2013 2nd Round Pick

The Thunder Receive:
SF Ryan Gomes ($4,000,000)
PF Brian Cook ($1,265,976)
2012 1st Round Pick (via Minnesota)

The Clippers are far enough under the cap to swallow the $9,434,080 difference in salary.

The Clippers accept.

It's extremely tough to part ways with that Minnesota first round pick, but we're pretty confident that the Timberwolves GM Klomp is going to put a team that is looking to contend in Minnesota. Hell, he can't be any worse than David Kahn. But on a more serious note, Kendrick Perkins was a guy I targeted immediately. He's 26 years old and locked into a very team friendly deal. Add his defense with Blake Griffin's offensive abilities, and you've got arguably the best PF/C combination in the game today and neither has hit their prime. Eric Maynor, Thabo Sefolosha and Cole Aldrich are all nice young players to add to our core. We're pretty excited about this deal tbh even if we would have preferred to keep the pick.

The Utah Jazz and the Washington Wizards have a trade to announce.

Jazz receives:
Rashard Lewis (21,136,630)
Jordan Crawford (1,120,440)
Chris Singleton (1,485,000)
2012 Washington 1st
= 23,742,070

Wizards receives:
AL Jefferson (14,000,000)
Mehmet Okur (10,000,000)
2012 Utah 2nd
= 24,000,000

Utah accepts. We trade two players that we just don't see as fits for us long term. We get arguably the best defender in the 2011 draft (Singleton), a promising young sg that could develop into a great 6th man (Crawford) and a potentially solid pick in a deep draft. Yes, we have to take back Shard's contract, but it's a sacrifice we are willing to make. Good dealings Washington!

there were a couple of vetoes on this deal but not enough to forestall it.

Minnesota has the cap space to absorb the difference making a tpe of $4,496,400 for GSW.

We accept. After taking on Outlaw we wanted to somehow save some money and this did that. Biedrins sucked in a run n gun system so he had to go.

Pekovic is officially otb.

Golden State Out/Indiana In
Klay Thompson $2,284,250

Ryan Gomes $4,000,000
Charlie Bell $4,447,792
2013 Golden State 1st
= 14 555 042

Pacers accept. This is good return for Granger, in my eyes. I didn't get that star shooting guard that I wanted, but I got several rotation players and replaced the pick I traded earlier - this should set me up fairly well to make another move in the near future for some upgrades in the post and on the wing. It hurts loosing Stephenson as well, but I feel this is the right direction for my team.

Chris Bosh $16,022,500
totals: $16,811,372 x 1.25% + 100,000 = $21,114,2115

Lakers trade
Pau Gasol $18,714,150
Matt Barnes $1,906,200
totals: $20,620,350

Miami doe sthis simply because we think Pau is a better fit. I am not sure Bosh and LMA could work together. Pau and LMA make a much better pair. Barnes is a solid role player

While it's extremely hard to part ways with DeAndre Jordan, whom we believe will be a 20/10 player very soon. Unfortunately, he won't be there with Kendrick Perkins blocking him. We get a very good package for him. I personally thought Kawhi Leonard was a top 5 prospect in this past draft, so getting him was pure gold. I've liked Splitter since he was a draft prospect, and the Spurs seem to think highly of him. And McDyess is a great veteran to have around.

P.S. DeAndre Jordan isn't BYC because the Clippers are under the cap.

P.S.S. Roc, I'll get my roster updated as soon as this post is finalized.
