Game 1: Tuesday, July 19, 7:07 PM ET, Rogers Centre
Probables Pitchers : Michael Pineda, RHP 8-6, 3.03 ERA vs Brett Cecil, LHP 2-4, 5.66 ERA
Cecil is coming off his best outing since being recalled from Triple-A at the end of the June, holding the Indians to one run on seven hits over six innings. The 25-year-old has struck out six in each of his three starts since rejoining the team.

Game 2: Wednesday, July 20, 7:07 PM ET, Rogers Centre
Probables Pitchers : Jason Vargas, LHP 6-7, 3.68 ERA vs Brandon Morrow, RHP 6-4, 4.37 ERA
Morrow is 4-0 with a 2.68 ERA in his past six starts, and Toronto is undefeated over that span. He has allowed three runs or less in 11 of his 16 starts this season and appears primed for a strong second half of the year just like he did in 2010.

Game 3:Thursday, July 21, 12:37 ET, Rogers Centre
Probables Pitchers : Doug Fister, RHP 3-11, 3.18 ERA vs Ricky Romero, LHP 7-9, 3.18 ERA
Romero lost to the Yankees his last time out, allowing three earned runs over five innings while striking out seven. He has 14 quality starts in 19 outings this season but the Blue Jays are 7-12 in his starts, scoring just 24 runs in the 12 losses.

First game is going to be hard, but if we can take that one the sweep is very possible.

it'd be nice to take this series, as it wasn't a good one back in Seattle..

Interested in seeing Pineda for what is basically the first time. Saw bits of his last game where he was battered.

Hope our pitchers do well. I really like all 3 of them and Seattle is pretty inept.

Mariners pitching looks impressive on paper. Their hitting is the worst though. Should be nice quick games this weekend. 3-2 , 2-0 and 3-1. :)

Wow, and I thought Romero was getting the shaft in the W/L column being below .500 with a pretty impressive 3.18 ERA.

Doug Fister has that same 3.18 ERA but instead of Romero's 7-9 mark, Fister is sitting at 3-11.

Maybe the advanced stats tell a different story (I don't have the time to look them up now), but it's pretty unfathomable to have a 3.18 ERA and be 3-11. Then again, with Seattle's offense, it's not that much of a surprise.

3.86 xFIP (low HR rate), 3.16 FIP, 2.8 WAR and 3 wins for Fister, who also pitches 7 innings/start. Yeah.

Hearing Bautista is probable, but not from real sources.

Fister is pretty good. But he also pitches in Seattle, which explains the very low HR/FB.

And as he has the misfortune to play for a team averaging 3.18 runs a game, you'll lose some close ones.

Agreed.
Good to see Jose back too.
When the injury occured I had one of those "oh no...!" moments and my initial thought was that it would be longterm.

So the Snider in CF experiments begin. I just hope the manger knows what he's doing.

It'll be interesting to see. I doubt we make playoffs anyways so we mind as well finish as low as we want.

I can't wait for the game to start arggg!

Their talking about it on PTS, and there believe in Snider. Saying he's the 3rd fastest on the team. Cassey has been called up.

Snider looks like very mediocre fielder in left or right field to me, so I'm not expecting much. His routes, instincts, and range in general look quite bad. Not great qualities for a CF. I think he even looks shaky shagging routine balls.

Such a relief to see Bautista in the lineup!!

If I was Patterson, I'd feel a bit embarrassed that Snider is playing CF. I thought Corey would handle CF, but now we have a player who has never (??) played CF at this level doing it over him.

So frusturating. Worst hitting team looks like Boston/Yankees.

Return to Toronto Blue Jays
