Wow, this is just unreal man. It keeps getting better everyday. Kobe **** Bryant, Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant, CP3, etc - people who I only watch over my TV or some internet stream, are all joining forces to play here in my country and I get a chance to watch them live even though it's only an upper box B ticket.

Just wow. We're blessed indeed, guys. Cant wait once again :)

Paul/Evans/Fisher
Rose/Harden
Bryant
Durant/Williams

Can't wait for Saturday really.

The ballboy is wrong.

Both games are covered by a local outfit-- TV5, to be aired on a sister channel IBC13. The Saturday game, vs. the PBA All Stars will be aired LIVE starting at 7PM and the other game will be aired on a delayed telecast at 5:30PM (game is set at 1PM)

Pretty sure there's an available streaming somewhere as what fans did during the FIBA Champions Cup and other events.

just an FYI for the Americans. The guy who financed this whole thing is believed to want to buy the Kings or Hawks.

I also believe that this event is a means for him to send out feelers to the NBA community. supposedly he is in talks with CWebb and they'd like to form a group that would buy the Kings with MVP, the guy
who financed this, as majority owner. Because really, our teams do not stand a chance against this almost all-star/almost merged past two team USAs (well not really) team.

and yeah, tyler durder is right, you guys could probably find live streaming video.

I'll be honest here, when is 7:30 PM Manilla time in relations to US? I'm looking around and I see it's +15. Counting backwards (my time zone is PDT), I'm seeing it's around 4:30 AM?

Apparently, some of the NBA players have arrived in the country already.

Sort of update: Tickets prices have indeed climbed up: as the current selling on forums/buy-sell sites has it at x4 or x5!

At first, i am not so happy i got the general admission tickets. But, with many friends asking for more, i guess this is worth it :D

NBA stars amazed by warm welcome in Manila

By Celest R. Flores
INQUIRER.net 2:02 pm | Friday, July 22nd, 2011

MANILA, Philippines – Eight of the nine NBA stars who will throw their basketball-passionate Filipino fans a big treat in the Smart Ultimate All-Star weekend arrived in Manila Friday morning.
And New Orleans Hornets’ Chris Paul, Washington Wizards’ Javale McGee and Sacramento Kings’ Tyreke Evans all expressed their amazement at the warmest welcome they received – and that was just at the airport.
“What a welcome from the fans here in Manila,” said the star playmaker Paul, who planed in with brother C.J., on his Twitter account.
“Shoutout to all my fans in Manila. They all showed me love at the airport,” said the former Rookie of the year Evans.
“So much love on Manila,” said McGee, the runner-up of last season’s slam dunk contest.
And the lanky, high-flying center could not wait to bring, not just his dunking prowess, but his planking act here in Manila – with the jeepney as his first prospect.
“Pierre gon’ plank on one of these,” said McGee, posting a photo of a jeep with the route ‘Guadalupe.’” Planking is a wide spread craze involving lying face down in an unusual location.
Minnesota Timberwolves’ draft pick Derrick Williams, who has not even played a single NBA game yet due to the lockout, was also given a “crazy welcoming” by the fans.
And what was the first thing that the second over-all pick of this year’s draft noticed?
“I saw a 24-hour Shakeys on the way here!” said Williams. “Hopefully they deliver! Best pizza ever.”
Meanwhile, Oklahoma City Thunder’s bearded guard James Harden is already thinking about shopping two hours into his stay.
“Wanting to do some shopping in the Philippines. Any ideas?” Harden said.
Thunder’s Kevin Durant and James Harden, Chicago Bulls’ Derrick Rose and Los Angeles Lakers’ Derek Fisher have also arrived for the series of exhibition games to be played at the Araneta Coliseum on July 23 and 24.
Kobe Bryant, who just wrapped up his five-city Asia tour for Nike, will arrive Saturday in Manila straight from Shanghai, China.
The star-studded USA selection will go up against the PBA All-stars on Saturday at 7 p.m., even as they face the Philippine national basketball team on Sunday at 1 p.m.
“I can’t wait to get out on the court tomorrow [Saturday]!” exclaimed Pau
