Allen Iverson still wants to come back
“I just want to do whatever an organization wants me to do,” Iverson said. “Everybody made a big thing about me not wanting to come off the bench, but I said that at that point because it never happened to me in my life and it was something new to me, and obviously I didn’t know how to handle it. But to be back on the biggest stage is my whole thing and I feel like I have a couple more years left in my career and I want to play. I sat through and watched the whole season and it was tough for me. Now I just try to do what I have to do to be physically and mentally able to get back on the stage.”

If we gonna take Eddie Curry's fat ass back into the NBA, might as well Allen Iverson...
Hey I know what you thinking already
"He's a ballhog, he won't pass...etc"
At least he'll be better than Bibby.
Even better, you know what, let's just get Tracy Mcgrady, Vince Carter, Allen Iverson and Eddy Curry.
We could just make a team of comeback players and been pass their prime, who'll play for a penny and then we could just get sprinkle in the young guys we got and pretty much recreate the 2005 team.
201? team (whenever the new season starts)
Old has been former star players - check
Dynamic superstar players - check
Defense First - check

No he is not a better fit than Bibby. Bibby just needs to get his three point shot back on track.

Re: Allen Iverson still wants to come back
Wow. First of all Curry would only be brought in if he can lose 40 pounds. He's also only 28 and a post up center who could be our Ike Austin.
As for AI, he's a ball stopper who can't defend, doesn't like practice, and shoots horrifically inefficiently. On top of that he should be a bench player but griped about the possibility. Finally, how is adding AI getting us younger and more athletic?

Re: Allen Iverson still wants to come back
Give him a training camp invite. Miami is being covered by everyone and their mother right now, so if he fails, that'll be it for him in this league and we'll move on with Chalmers, Cole and a solid third PG. Low-risk, really high reward.

AI did come off the bench from Philly and he still put up 14 points 4 assists 5 fta a game with a bad ankle.
AI still could get in the paint and still draw fouls.
The Heat like to run, so I guess we just play Eddy Curry at 5 minute intervals? I don't see how it would work.
I rather get somebody like Sean Williams or Javaris Crittenton from the Dleague instead of somebody like Eddy Curry.
If the Heat wanna be the home of comeback players and ring chasers, lets just get some that can actually be useful
Like Vince Carter, AI, Tracy Mcgrady
Then the Heat just gotta pull out all their shotblockers they have stashed God knows where, and when Eddy Curry and the Comeback Allstars can't guard their man, we'll at least have Varanado playing garbage man.
Jarvis Varanado aka the Tornado aka the Eraser
Omg that would be amazing if our bench was full of former Allstars, it'll be like 2003 allstar game but 20 times slower lmao

Vince AI and T-Mac even if their old and past their prime will be a dynamic second unit I don't get why everyone is hating on here they can't be worse than what we had last year a bench of Chalmers or Cole with AI , T-Mac , VC , Udonis and a center will be pretty good

It's because they play bad basketball, they always have, in their primes they were simply talented enough to get away with it. T-Mac is arguably the only guy I'd consider but he's been causing trouble in Detroit and talked smack about us, so I don't know if it'd be such a great idea to sign him either. Our role players need to be guys who understand their job alongside the Big 3 and complement them well.

There's always 1 guy on every team's board that has to make a "We should get Allen Iverson!" thread every few months. Why can't we be different?

T-MAC talked smack out of envy there is no way he would turn down a chance to play for the Miami Heat hell I don't think any player would and I would sign Vince Carter his family lives in Orlando he could be a good player of the second unit and they played bad basketball because they were in a bad system if Pat Riley could make Antonie Walker lose weight and gain confidence and win a title with him as our small forward I would take a gamble with vet's like T-Mac and Vince.

Re: Allen Iverson still wants to come back
He needs the ball too much. NOt exactly being a ball hog, but it's like LeBron who can't work off the ball well. Bibby could have... he just wasn't hitting his wide open 3's lol.
We saw what happened to Bibby. It through off his rhythm.
Also I don't think AI wants to be the BIg 3's lapdog. The whole system revolves around them. AI might not like that lol.
