It really seems like Kemba is one of those marketable guys that demands attention, which media types love to cover. Something that can really help the franchise move forward with fans and the media as one of those guys you HAVE to watch.

If his game can match his hype then he can really become something special. That's a tall order though, so we'll see

The lockout helps, I bet.

Emeka got a lot of attention as the bobcats first ever pick, but I don't know if it was quite this much.

He's getting a lot more attention than the guys picked above him.

Adam Morrison is the closest comparison... dominant college players always get more attention.

On this board, sure, but I bet the championship doesn't hurt.

On ESPN and other media outlets as well, but whatevs. And does it really matter how or why he's getting the attention as long as it's positive?

No, of course positive attention is good. I think it is kind of a perfect storm so to speak, of the championship, his NYK background, the lockout, and the fact that Bismack is the only other rookie who is even remotely interesting.

That's what I find most interesting, It's like Kemba was the number one pick.

It's like everyone is expecting our two rookies to be special players except us.

That would explain a few things. I guess I'm not funny, because humour is intended in many of my posts. The thread in which I kept answering with smileys is an example.

You can't hear tone when reading, so it is easy to mistake when someones joking.

The green font is a clever idea. I've never seen it on other forums either. It's cool.

Apparently Kemba is dazzling people at the Pro-Am games they have held. Dropped 40 in a game a few days ago. This kid is going to be lots of fun to watch. Just hate that we might not see him until 2012 unless the feuding parties can make peace.

I agree. Then maybe I might be nearly as entertaining as Sachmo's avatar.

That would be sad if we have to miss the season, because these millionaires and billionaires are to selfish to quickly come to an agreement that everyone can live with. However it is exciting to know that if that is the case the next time we see Charlotte Bobcats basketball it will be an almost totally new team!

Did they have full box scores? Love to know how many shots he took, assists he had, trips to the line he made etc.
